Is there anything more deadly than an Italian buffet on a Sunday afternoon? Â Nothing kills productivity faster around our house.
Anyway, enjoyed a pleasant lunch with the entire family here on Sunday afternoon. Â Nice atmosphere. Â They are working on the interior and it is starting to feel dressy, without being stuffy. Â While they are having to work with the old building, it is obvious that some effort is going into decor. Â I would call it "nice family dinner" atmosphere". Â The bathrooms look a tad rough, but I expect that they will be addressed as the rest of the building has been remodeled already.
The staff was attentive and very friendly.
I can only speak for the buffet at this location, but these are the same folks who own the Tuscany in Paris, IL, and the food there is excellent. Â I would expect no less from this menu.
The salad was obviously fresh and very crisp. Â My soup was creamy and hot. I managed to try three of six entrees, all were great and filling. Â The dessert table featured four cream cakes. Â I manged to get down a piece of chocolate and lemon, but had to surrender before I made it to the coconut.
Overall, we had a great experience and our bill was a very pleasant surprise. Â I would strongly recommend this for a group, as there was plenty of seating and lots of area to move around.
We will be back.
