This place is now called Dugout Grill. I have been there a few times already. The new owners are really nice. The food is great. However, I only eat the burgers and fries. Their fries are freshly cut everyday. They are nice and crispy with a perfect amount of salt. My husband likes also the hot dogs. These guys are definitely better then the Taco Depot and the Two Tony's. I have been to all of them as I work nearby.
Review Source:On the recommendation of a friend I went here in the evening only to find the strip mall parking lot empty and no one inside the restaurant.  The inside of the place was nothing special ... although I wasn't  expecting too much.  I actually find random pictures, antiques, and boat oars hanging from the walls of applebees/fridays/etc really lame. Â
They serve tacos, gyros, burgers, fries, etc .. standard stuff. Â I ordered a chicken sandwich and sat down at a table looking out the window. Â Behind me, I was hearing stuff being cut and my sandwich being prepared. Â I got my order to go, got home and unwrapped my dinner expecting the same old grilled chicken sammich that I would get at portillos/mcdonalds/etc. Â When I opened my "to-go" styrofoam container it amazed me. Â The chicken breast was sliced thin and layered across the sub type bread. Â It had just a hint of spice ... just perfect and not too overwhelming. Â I believe he used Romaine lettuce on my sandwich .. not some cheap iceberg filler lettuce. The tomato slices were fresh and generous. Â It was all unbelievably fresh and it was one the best chicken sandwich I've ever had.
Anyways, I just had to write a review ... it was nice to find a great place like this out in the middle of streamwood. Â So when you're not too busy going to the standard fare in the burbs ... like your chipotle, mcdonalds, fridays, olive garden, applebees, blah blah blah ... try this place out.
