The Ultimate is a cool hangout when a good game or fight is showing. Â There is nothing pretentious about the Ultimate. Â The waitresses are nice. Â The drinks are strong, and the food is tasty. Â It's not a place to necessarily impress someone, but the atmosphere is cool, decor is cool too. Â Worth checking out... bourgeois ppl stear clear.
Review Source:I was quite impressed....especially since don't hang out on Candler Rd. Â The server was attentive and friendly....We made sure to tell her too in order to REINFORCE positive behavior. Â The atmosphere was very LIVELY and the FOOD was good.....MOST of ALL, I LOVE their daily specials from the .25 hot wings on Tuesdays and $5 crab legs on Wednesdays with $2.00 Well Drinks....NOT BAD for BALLING on a BUDGET!
Review Source:The first time I went the server was great, gave us breaks on the drinks, and even diverted the drinks men were buying her over to our table. And she didn't screw up our tab. If I recall correctly, this was a Saturday night.
The food is bar food, so it meets those low standards.
The drink selections are great, but don't go for any special. Order a real drink.
But Ultimate loses stars on inconsistency alone. You never know if your server, the food, the drinks, or the music will suck or what the prices will be like, it varies so much day to day and by time of day.
One thing you can count on: the patrons WILL be hood. However, this is Candler Road, people, so why would you expect anything else?
UPDATE !!! I'm not sure what happen to the service but it has gone down. I now know what others mean about the horrible service. It took over 15mins just for someone to take our order and that is after getting up and asking for help twice. I was if we were bothering the staff. I was before the rush on $2 Tuesday, less than 25 were in there at this time. The waitresses seemed as if they had something more important to talk about because there was a group of them just standing by the registrar. I was very disappointed and I'm done with this place.
Review Source:OK. Save your self people really. Horrible, and when I say horrible I mean horrible service. The wait staff is unexperienced and could care less if you want to order or not. Drinks are overpriced if your not getting the $3.00 sugar laden martinin's in a dixie cup (minute little drinks) & regular drinks are over priced.
Also This place had the audacity to have a Groupon Now special running and not one person in the wait staff new how to use it. (I went through several stages of blank stare blinking)
However, my friends go for the crab leg special on Wednesday and seem to enjoy the food. But the service is a huge FAIL. "No Tip For You" (in my best soup nazi voice")
Great to know fantastic Customer Service still exist...The night started out a little shaky but it was handle by the Owner who takes great pride in his business he took the time to address the problem till the very end and is very friendly. The staff was great and the wings were good but the winner of the night was the RED VELVET CAKE OMG.....the restaurant itself is BEAUTIFUL. Â Getting my girls together for another $2 tuesday night.

Review Source:I've been here about two times. Â For it to be on Candler Road its not BAD. Compared to the competition in the area its definitely the BEST option for a chill spot. Â The inside is very big but the tables are very close together. Â Big Booty Brenda almost knocked by drink off of the table. I'm not kidding. Â There are lots of screens and tvs for the sports fan but you probably won't be able to see it or pay that much attention unless you get really close. Â I think Dugans on Ponce De Leon would be a better option to watching a game.
Ultimate is sorda a trip cause I can tell that people really dress up to go there. So its like a ghetto fashion show. Â Plenty of dudes and chics with gold teef. The service isn't that great. Â Its a lot of girls that appear to be waitresses but good luck figuring out which one is yours. Â I really don't like that they don't sell french fries with their wings, which were just OK.
I know people that go here all the time. I prolly would go back. I think it will be an ahight spot to go with a group of friends. Â I'm from the area so I see a gang of people I know from way way back so I doubt I'd become a regular. But you know, its A-OK (AHIGHT, OKAY). Like I said before its definitely the BEST option on Candler Road.
This was my first time going to this sports bar. First the positives. Plenty of projection screens, room and seating. Okay menu variety, clean bathroom and okay service.
Cons- the food was mediocre. I bought wings with three different sauce types. Only one was okay that was the jerk bbq. The other was hot ( how do you mess up plain hot wings ) They found a way to do this. I also got spicy garlic wings. They were garlicy I must say, I literally saw the minced garlic in the sauce but spicy? NOT. The 4 dollar fries were okay, they could have come out hot though instead they were just warm for the amount of time it took before I got my order. The tap beer was cold although I was brought out bottle initially even though I asked for draft.
The place has a lot of potential as long as they don't let the wrong crowd take over. This particular mall location has had several shootings almost at the front door of this location in recent years. Good police presence will be essential to this establishments' success.If it does not have it, it will lead to the demise of this mall because it is right at the front doors of the main entrance.
note: I mentioned the clean bathrooms however they only had one soap dispenser and one hand dryer with no paper towels. Come on you have got to be kidding me. They could at least put up a no grab type handle to exit the rest room. Maybe they depend on somebody at night to attend the bathroom and make you tip for a towel.
