Vanity

Went for the first time earlier this week.
Upon entering the Theme and ambience was unique and welcoming.
Staff was extremely friendly, great conversation with waitress, bartender and even the owner.
Menu was drafted different then most, but the food was cooked and seasoned very well.
Overall awesome experience, will return and recommend to anyone who has not been.

Myself and 3 friends went to Vanity last night for dinner and drinks. I had tried some of their dishes at a benefit for Big Brothers Big Sister back in October and have been dying to go and see the restaurant ever since. The location is in a really a fun part of providence. The inside is awesome, very modern with a 1920 theme. Against the walls are leather sofa and comfy pillows which really gives a unique hip dining experience. The food was fantastic, we ordered the Tiny Clams which we awesome. If there is more than 2 people sharing i would ask for extra bread so all of the left over zuppa sauce. All four of us ordered different dishes they were all very tasty (no left overs good.)

The staff was very attentive, our waitress was very nice and informative about their menu. We had a late reservation and stayed until they closed NOT ONCE did we feel rushed, which is really awesome because nothing is worse than feeling like you are holding people up. The bartender was friendly and personally came over to our table to ask how we liked our drinks, even came back with shots for all of us so we could try a new whiskey they were contemplating carrying.  We had the opportunity to look at their new upcoming outdoor patio, which isn't finish yet but looked really awesome! I cannot wait to go back and visit, eat , drink and enjoy the new outdoor expreience :)

horrible service on a friday night for girl's night. when we ordered 3 drinks, at least one of them had only half the glass full...the bartender was not friendly. bee's knees has honey not mixed in and just sitting like hard candy at the bottom in globs. which would be fine except that the straw was stuck in it. which defeated the purpose of the straw. overall, poor bar service but I've never eaten here so can't comment on the food.
