OMG. This is my new favorite place for great Italian food and exceptional service. Took the family there before a Blackhawks game (and we were clearly not the only ones headed to the game that night by all of the Hawks jerseys. Â This is a classy and classic place. Â I ordered the pasta with pork neck bones -- recommended by our waiter. Â It was the best pasta dish I have ever tasted! Â Give it a try!
Review Source:This place is awesome. It couldn't be better.
We arrived on a slow night around 9:15 and they had pretty much closed by the time we stepped foot into the restaurant. Because we're from out of town and don't know anything about the different areas in Chicago, and had cabbed there from our hotel, we were worried that we weren't going to find anywhere that would serve us late. Instead of being mad that they couldn't close, the staff assured us that they'd take us for dinner anyway, and immediately seated us.
The service was impeccable. Everyone was helpful and kind. I loved everyone working there.
And now to the best part--the food. We started with the meatball salad, which everyone recommended on here and damn, it was well worth it. The meatball was the best I've ever had and paired with the greens and the light vinaigrette, it was perfect. When I first heard about this option, I was slightly skeptical, since that's something that I wouldn't normally order. Now, after tasting it, I'm a believer. I'd order it again and again.
I had linguine with alfredo sauce and sausage and it was better than any alfredo pasta I ever had in Italy, and I've been several times. The sauce, which they make fresh daily was perfect. My mom got the loop veal (I think it was called that?) and she went crazy. The portions are huge and were were actually sad that we couldn't finish all of our food--it was that freaking good.
I'd go here again and again! I LOVE this place. Authentic, delicious italian with amazing service. Couldn't be better.
