Great time at Ina's... I will return!
p.s. they have a no cell phone policy - LOVE IT!
This place is a real gem. The food matches the atmosphere in that it is cozy and made with love. Service was fast and the coffee was fresh. I ordered the Chicken and Waffles, because the menu told me I would be sad if I didn't. I was definitely happy that I did; the spicy honey dip for the perfectly juicy fried chicken was to die for, and the waffle was cooked perfectly. Even thinking about it now makes me wish I was eating it. Ina walked around her restaurant, speaking with the patrons, giving the place an even more homey feel. It was like we were guests in her house. We had gotten in with no problem, but when we left, there was a line out the door. I can't wait to go back and try something else on the menu.
Review Source:We lucked out on a couple of levels in coming to Ina's for brunch. Â First, we didn't end up going there out of desperation after hours of aimless driving around -- oh, there's a line out the door and down the block, oh it's closed, oh I thought it was in this block -- second, we got there just as the place cleared out. Â Apparently they'd had a rush of people who were going to Disney on Ice who left just before we arrived so yay we got a table and yay the place wasn't filled with kids! Â Finally, a parking lot! Â Unheard of.
Everything looked tasty, but I opted for the huevos rancheros because I was in the mood for something that was fresh-tasting and which had a nice amount of protein. Â It was a nice size plate, though I thought that the price was a little high at $9+. Â It wasn't that spectacular. Â Ditto the Paris omelette which was delicious, and the plain old bacon and eggs with potatoes.
In general, the food is quite good but a little pricier than I would have expected. Â Still it's a place I'd return to. Â It has a nice vibe, and I approve of the ban on cell phones. Â It makes everything a lot pleasanter not to have people sitting nearby, shouting into their phones.
