This place is a real gem. The food matches the atmosphere in that it is cozy and made with love. Service was fast and the coffee was fresh. I ordered the Chicken and Waffles, because the menu told me I would be sad if I didn't. I was definitely happy that I did; the spicy honey dip for the perfectly juicy fried chicken was to die for, and the waffle was cooked perfectly. Even thinking about it now makes me wish I was eating it. Ina walked around her restaurant, speaking with the patrons, giving the place an even more homey feel. It was like we were guests in her house. We had gotten in with no problem, but when we left, there was a line out the door. I can't wait to go back and try something else on the menu.

We lucked out on a couple of levels in coming to Ina's for brunch.  First, we didn't end up going there out of desperation after hours of aimless driving around -- oh, there's a line out the door and down the block, oh it's closed, oh I thought it was in this block -- second, we got there just as the place cleared out.  Apparently they'd had a rush of people who were going to Disney on Ice who left just before we arrived so yay we got a table and yay the place wasn't filled with kids!  Finally, a parking lot!  Unheard of.

Everything looked tasty, but I opted for the huevos rancheros because I was in the mood for something that was fresh-tasting and which had a nice amount of protein.   It was a nice size plate, though I thought that the price was a little high at $9+.  It wasn't that spectacular.  Ditto the Paris omelette which was delicious, and the plain old bacon and eggs with potatoes.

In general, the food is quite good but a little pricier than I would have expected.  Still it's a place I'd return to.  It has a nice vibe, and I approve of the ban on cell phones.  It makes everything a lot pleasanter not to have people sitting nearby, shouting into their phones.

Best breakfast place in Chicago hands down.  Stop reading all these reviews and go check it out for yourselves.  Trust me, it's an experience.

Ina's was one of those places that you could see yourself becoming a regular at. It looks fairly small on the outside, but the seating actually goes pretty far back. The service was nice and the breakfast food was solid all around. I got to try a few of the meats since one of my group ordered the meat platter, and it was all very good (chorizo seemed to be the best).

Just for reference, I only went here once. But if I'm looking for breakfast in the West Loop area again, I'd go back here. The area surrounding it didn't look to happening, though. But maybe that's because it was the day after Christmas.

Let me say first that the food is excellent

I have to take 2 stars off since good food is not all about the restaurant that creates a rating.

    Portions
The portions sizes realy run on the small size for breakfast. This is one of the few places in Chicago were we had to order sides since we were still hungry and we aren't overweight or huge eaters.

    Price
If the food was good-sized portions I wiould say yes the prices are justified, but they are not big portions.

Mimosas and bloody mary s are too expensive.

The bill for two people can easily be over $40 if you get one alcoholic drink each--too much for breakfast.

The restaurant would do itself a favor by increasing portion sizes or lowering prices a little--it's  a recession and breakfast is supposed to be the 'cheap' meal out.

This place reminds me of my hometown diners outside Chicago.  Once you step in, a slower pace of life sets in as you catch up over coffee with good friends.  Ina's has carefully cultivated this folksy feel from the food to the service, both of which are all-around swell.

    Highlights:
    - Chicken and waffles - impressive.  This ranks up there with the places on Cicero with bulletproof glass.
    - Southern Hash - (can't recall the exact name here) subtle sauce, tender bbq, and solid hash.  Can't go wrong.
    - Free parking - 'nuf said. Love it.

    Lowlights:
    - Price - charging $7 for a mimosa outside a nightclub is an interesting price strategy

    Bottom line:
Another good option for breakfast, but don't expect the prices to indicate innovative dishes.  Think diner staples (skillets, bene's, etc) with a price tag driven by popularity.  The unique dishes and hometown vibe have merited my return visit, so there will be more to come...

It was okay.  Richie D who said she's kinda like Chicago's version of Paula Deen is right on.  But with not as much...awesomeness.

The food was good but nothing to rave about.  Everyone was getting Chicken and Waffles which I guess is their thing and I will try again.  I had huevos rancheros.  The eggs were cooked perfectly but the tortillas were flour and hard.  The guac was good, salsa was good, but the chorizo was crumbles, greasy, and overcooked.  The black beans were not plentiful enough.  Coffee, OJ was great.

I'd go back for the chicken and waffles because everyone kinda flips out about them.

Side note, they are not big on maintenance here.  There was some dirty and worn out spots on walls and the carpet.  Atmosphere is a bit dated, not in a good way.  The collection of salt and pepper shakers is a nice touch of Americana, they should play that up a bit more.  More Americana would do this place really well.

A good spot, with a wonderfully sweet owner and a nice back story, but just feels a bit dated and boring.

Ina's is outa's for me.  Hostess was not nice but the waitstaff was was friendly and attentive. The attitude of the hostess ruined all the hard work all the other employees put forth. Small, small portions. If you answer your phone you will be stared at like a child for the rest of your meal even if you apologized and left the room until you were done. I will never be back because of the hostess/ cell phone Nazi. Sorry lady, when the boss calls people tend to answer.

YUM!  Great breakfast, choices, great breakfast cocktails - yaaaaay!  We've had huevos rancheros, omelets, light fluffy pancakes, some sort of brisket breakfast dish (many meal for meat lovers), mimosas, intelligentsia coffee,  bloody marys (really good). Love everything about this place.  :)  never tried the chicken and waffles but it looks tempting!

I was around the area, and the Google maps suggested this place for breakfast. (Good ratting). It's a breakfast place I wasn't planning to spend $35 me and my friend. The food was alrite, but that just robbery.

I've never had an unsatisfying meal at Ina's.  This really means something to me!

All of my visits were for brunch, and all were very good.  Two things I learned today:

-The vegetarian hash is very good (and goes well with a side of sausage)

-Huevos Rancheros are served on a component basis at Ina's - not pre layered.  That's new to me.

Again, I look forward to my next visit

Sunday I had a craving for pancakes and every place we went had a line out the door.  So we headed further from the crowd's (the air and water show) and went to Ina's on Randolph.  Ina's used to be in Lincoln Park but closed and then she reopened on Randolph.  We did have to wait but only 15 minutes (not bad on a Sunday AM).   Coffee comes to the table in a steel carafe that allows you to refill as you please which is great for those of us who love our coffee.  I ordered the buttermilk pancakes and they were yummy!  Light and fluffy!   My boyfriend ordered the cheese and spinach omelet which had fresh spinach.   I didn't taste it but he said it was delicious and it looked fluffy with lots of ingredients.

It is a bit pricey for breakfast and the service was a slow but the food was good, we will go back for the tasty food.

Love Ina's!  I'm surprised I don't see more 5-star reviews.  Maybe since I grew up eating here my taste buds have morphed into those of Ina liking only.  Also, I think another big part of why I fancy this place so much is because when you walk in, Ina herself is usually behind the counter.  To me, that's like seeing a celebrity and her presence just means you KNOW the food is good.

I could literally come to this place just to eat three-six pieces of cinnamon swirled coffee cake and a glass of fresh-squeezed orange juice.  I asked Ina once what made her coffee cake so good and she said "sour cream."  At first I was repulsed but realized this is what gives it such a unique, home baked flavor.  I promise, it's so worth it.

Another thing to get here are the heavenly hots or any type of omelet.  It's a great place for a weekend brunch with the family in a great location!

We went to Ina's to celebrate my friends graduation.  After living in the West Loop for almost 8 years, I should have known better than to not make reservations before hand for Saturday Brunch.  Despite the oversight on my part, the staff at Ina's graciously accommodated our party of 6 though we called an hour and a half before we wanted to eat.  We were warned that it was really busy but that they would do their best to accommodate us. Once we were there, we only had to wait 15 minutes before being seated.

Dining at Ina's feels like you're in the rustic kitchen down south.  Ina's claim to fame is the smatter of different salt/pepper shakers some of which have been donated by patrons and others collected by Ina herself.  They make you feel like you're dining in someones home, instead of a restaurant.

The breakfast and brunch menu isn't anything fancy.  Though it is a little more pricey than your typical breakfast/brunch places, it's good and it's organic (the eggs are cage-free and I believe the chicken is naturally fed),  It's comfort food in a cozy atmosphere, which is probably why it has been a West Loop favorite for so long.

When we were at Ina's, two people ordered the chopped salad (came with romaine, turkey, blue cheese, avocado, egg, bacon, tomato and blue cheese dressing), which wasn't anything special, but the ingredients were fresh.

3 people in the party ordered the spicy chicken burger, which was actually very good.  It was ground chicken, formed into a patty and served on a bun with the usual toppings of lettuce, tomato and pickles with a little serving of coleslaw.  I didn't care for the fact that though the burger was $9, it did not include fries, which were an considered an add-on item. I have to be honest that I was still a little hungry at the end of my meal!

This is a place I will go back to if I'm feeling lazy and would rather walk somewhere, though they have free parking.  It is good comfort food, decent service (I had to wait on multiple occasions for my water glass to be filled), but the food is nothing  so memorable that I would rave about it to all my non-West Loop friends.

I thought Ina's average rating would have been at least four stars.  I should not be shocked at her 3.5 stars.  Here's my story:   I have eaten at Ina's a few times for breakfast and lunch.  I find her food to be tasty and healthy.  Ina is very friendly when I've been with larger parties, but when I've been by myself or with my sister, she and her staff are aloof.  After going to Ina's consecutively for a few weeks on the weekends, a friendly smile and a greeting such as "hello, welcome back" would have been most appropriate.

Another thing that I find distasteful (LOL) is Ina's cell phone policy.  The restaurant is in the heart of the West Loop and her clientele for breakfast and lunch during the week is primarily corporate executives.  She should be more flexible to their needs, plus in my case, a cousin had an emergency and was taken to Rush hospital.  Instead of eating crummy cafeteria food, my sister and I decided to have a bite at Ina's.  My sister received a text, which set off an alarm at the "cell phone police headquarters."  A most staunch and dour woman came to our table and read us the riot act.  She spoke in a normal tone of voice, but her demeanor was abrupt and unprofessional; mean.

I stopped by here for lunch the other day while my dog was being treated around the corner at Animal Care center.

I probably should have stuck with breakfast, but the grilled cheese caught my eye. It was a pretty good grilled cheese, but nothing gourmet. I did add bacon, because as we all know, everything is better with bacon.

The biggest surprise? The price - a grilled cheese (with bacon), fries, and a diet coke? $16.00+, so with tip, it was $20. I think the grilled cheese without bacon or fries was almost $10 - which I find kind of ridiculous.

Went here for brunch this past weekend... nice little breakfast/brunch spot with super friendly staff and great food. Prices are pretty reasonable for Chicago and the food is pretty darn good.

I had the chicken and waffles, which I believe are made from organic chickens. The waffle was fantastic, as was the chicken. I was under-whelmed by the spicy honey that came with it but I there was syrup at the table that worked just fine. Everyone in my party got different things. One friend got the pulled pork hash (think it was a special on Saturday) and he cleaned his plate. Others got the fresh fruit parfait and the scrambled eggs w/potatoes, both were satisfied.

Ina is the greatest - the self-proclaimed "Grandmother of Chicago cooking." She is a lovely person, a great chef and a friendly restaurant owner/operator.

The decor in the place is certainly dated. It makes you feel like you are at home, but only if your home is decorated in a 90s style.

    Misc. positives:
*FREE private parking lot (huge plus in Chicago)
*Serve breakfast during lunch hours, as well
*Not applicable to me, but noticed they have several gluten-free menu items
    *Full bar!! haha

This place is a dump, let me explain why; first they have a server going around saying, 'would you like a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice.' Well, in reality it's straight out of the gallon, trust me it's true.. Second, the bread felt hard as if it had been reused, or it set out for a long time. If you have kids don't even think about going there, the owner is a nasty lady who will do anything to kick you out if your kid starts to cry. Cell phones are prohibited, but when your phone rings another nasty ogre, which I believe is the manager comes out screaming at customers. When I went there I could not believe my eyes, and I can't understand how they are still in business. Never ever again...

I've been back for brunch and had wonderful experiences. Ina's is a brunch spot for me now!

Love the gluten free offerings. A cocktail, eggs and toast, and I'm set. So lucky that Ina has delicious gluten free bread.

Service is friendly and the ambiance is like going into Ina's home. She is usually at the restaurant when I go and I always make a point of saying hello and thanking her for a lovely meal.

Lots of parking (easy!) and a great staff.

I've been to Ina's a number of times, and I've pretty much worked my way through the entire menu. It's all fabulous, some of it even better than I'd make at home (I'd never go through all of the bother involved in a chicken pot pie, so it's good that Ina's has one!). It's rare that decaf is fresh, hot, and ready to serve; at Ina's, it's not only all of those things, it's really good, too.

Any time I have an excuse to go to Ina's (I even remember fondly the dinner menu, which is sadly no longer with us), I go. And I love her newsletter with its relationship advice. You certainly can't get that everywhere.

    Pricey and not that great.

We went to Ina's this morning with high expectations based on the reviews and came away disappointed. The Heavenly Hots pancakes were undercooked, arriving at the table with a mushy center. You'd think for $9, they would come with a side, but sides are an additional $4-$4.50.  To be fair, my huevos rancheros were decent, but again, not worth close to $10 with no sides.

We gave it a try, but with plenty of better brunch choices in the area (Meli, Dodo), will not be returning to Ina's.

Loved the environment here - everything seemed to be so happy, calm and conscious. I hear Ina stands at the entrance herself, greeting each patron, and has a very chirpy disposition.

The menu has a wide range of selection from breakfast foods to lunch items. Everything I tried or my friends tried were supposedly quite good.

They have their own parking lot attached to the restaurant, so that's a plus. And oh, their cranmosa was really good too!

I love supporting a restaurant that the owner is actually seen in, the 3 or 4 times I've had breakfast here Ina has been in the house, welcoming and chatting with customers...a mark of a true restaurateur.
She serves a solid breakfast, nothing to fancy or exotic, pleasant service, reasonable prices in a homey atmosphere. I love the good strong coffee and when I don't feel like walking the 6 blocks from my place, Ina has free parking.

Yum yum yum I love breakfast! I went here for a quick meal yesterday morning because I showed up at work too early and the doors were locked. That will probably never happen again, haha! But instead of just hitting up the nearest Starbucks, I realized Ina's was right around the corner and I was excited to head over for a breakfast treat.

The sunflower bread intro was soooo tasty and healthy. I then ordered 2 eggs scrambled with chorizo and a fruit plate (and more sunflower bread toast!). When the friendly waiter served me, he originally put down someone else's plate. I thought they had just made a simple mistake so I took a bite of the bacon on the plate. Then he rished back to change out the plate for my actual breakfast. I grabbed the already-touched bacon so it was nice to try a slice for free. I feel a little bad for ruining that prepared meal but it wasn't too busy and I didn't do it to be greedy!!! I'm still feeling a little guilty about that, obviously.

Anyway, my eggs were light and fluffy, the chorizo was hot and spicy, and the fruit was really fresh. Had fresh-squeezed orange juice and more toast. Everything led to a very enjoyable morning! I even got to eat some egg/chorizo leftovers this morning so I was impressed twice. Gotta head back to Ina's for brunch sometime!!! And try one of the decadent french toast or pancake specials.

Oh, Ina no. I went here for an extended lunch with a couple of co-workers and our sneaky adventure quickly turned into an exercise in gut rot. The place is sorta cute in a grandma way, whatever, but in an act of foreshadowing as we sat we all remarked "Weird, why is this place so empty!" I'll get to that in the second paragraph.

The vegetable hash with poached eggs sounded so tasty that we all ordered it. Big mistake. While the eggs were fine the vegetation was most foul with old mushy vegetables and a pasty sauce that made me wanna retch. Not all the veg was mushy, mind you. A good 1/3 of the potatoes were undercooked, which made for an interesting textural experience. Nobody was happy. The thing was nine bucks and didn't even come with a measly scrap of toast. If you go here, believe me when i tell you to leave that hash alone.

I added a star for the Intelligentsia.

One hungry morning, my homegirl and I were trying to figure out where to go for breakfast when, *DING*, I thought of Ina's. Although I hadn't been there in a few years, I figured it couldn't have changed that much. I talked the place up so much, our mouths were watering by the time we got  there.

My home girl was immediately sold on the chicken and waffles because there was a parenthetical statement next to the description saying you would be very sad if you didn't order that dish. Well, she didn't want to be sad so she ordered it...and I ordered an omelette with asparagus and cheese (which I no longer see on the menu). Once our food arrived and we began chowing down, a silence befell our table---but not the good silence that comes from being lost in the euphoria of a magical meal. It was the kind of silence that comes when you're disappointed in something that was so hyped up and you're trying to wait for that bite that will make you understand what the hype was all about.  After about  5 minutes, she couldn't hold it in any longer, "Uhhh...I'm SAD that I ordered this! I coulda made betta at home!" I felt the same about my omelette--It was bland and uneventful.

Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad--- but it just wasn't wonderful like I remembered. Ina's isn't cheap and for her prices, I want magic.  On a positive note, the restaurant is still just as cozy and quaint as ever, our server was friendly enough and Ms. Ina's smiling face was in house. However, I don't think that's enough to make me return.

First rule of Ina's: DO NOT get caught talking on your cell. Your a$$ will get checked. I thought it was a joke. I found out it was not. Not personally. I am a perfect Southern gentleman. Far be it from me to ever take a call at the dinner table. My friend, however, had the misfortune of a.) forgetting her phone was on and b.) forgetting to pick it up at the table. Before she could muster a 'Hel-', Ina's enforcer was at our table, hand on the shoulder, finger at the you-should-be-ashamed wag position, and Ina sat at the back of the room, watching all the action go down through the gaze of her glasses perched halfway down the bridge of her nose. She did not look happy.

This was the beginning of our meal. Things went from there.

I think the food was decent. I ordered the omelette on special and a coffee. It definitely wasn't memorable. But, I felt uncomfortable knowing I had ever-present eyes watching our table. The imp within me has to give props for the masterful side-eye. Truly, it's a thing of beauty and one I want to master. I am not kidding. You know me. Side-eyes and pursed lips are sort of my thing. But, when you're the recipient of such a piercing side-eye, it sort of diminishes any joy you have for the experience and food. I wanted to scarf down my food and get out. I spoke quietly. I didn't want to make things any weirder. I didn't feel welcome. Granted, it was my friends' bad, yes. She should not have been on the phone. But, d@mn, Gina! She took a call. She didn't shake a baby.

Went here for brunch yesterday after a long hiatus. Once Ina's moved to the West Loop from Lincoln Park, it kind of fell off my radar.

Got there at prime brunching hour, but my friend arrived before I did and had put our name on the list, so by the time I got there, the wait wasn't too bad.

We were shown to our table and given menus. It's a pretty extensive menu, with a lot of both sweet and savory dishes to choose from, as well as specials.

The server came by promptly to take our order. I decided on the heavenly hots, which are pancakes with a fruit compote on the side. I remembered how much I enjoyed these in the past, so I was hoping they were still good. My dc ordered the baked french toast and a side of bacon.

Since we were sitting directly under the air conditioning vent, it was rather chilly, so to my order, I also added a cocoa latte. Normally I drink iced coffee in the warmer months, but since I was freezing, I needed to warm up.

The cocoa latte was really bitter and not all that great, but I drank most of it hoping to warm up. Our food arrived quickly, which is not a surprise since they need to turn 'em and burn 'em at brunch - it's all about turning those tables.

My heavenly hots were as good as I remembered - fluffy, light, and also a bit tart as they use sour cream in their batter. I thought they were a little chintzy with the fruit compote; there was barely enough for two pancakes, let alone all six.

I tried a bite of my friend's french toast and it was a little sweet for my taste. It was very similar to an apple pancake that you'd find at Walker Brothers, so if you're a fan of that, then you will love the french toast at Ina's.

I also sampled a piece of bacon, which was nothing special. I'd expect a place like Ina's to have a thick-cut applewood smoked bacon, or something a little less ho-hum than standard-issue bacon.

The prices are fair for brunch, and the portions are generous. The service wasn't bad, but rather non-existent. The only time we saw our server was when he took our order and dropped off the check. I don't need a lot of coddling, but at a minimum, a visit should be paid to the table after the food arrives or shortly thereafter, just to make sure we had everything we needed. This was not done and it's something like that that sets apart good servers from those who merely take food orders and drop off checks.

One thing I do love about Ina's is that they have a basket in which one can drop off personal care items to donate to a women's shelter. I have been stockpiling such items for months from various hotel stays and was so happy to finally put it to some good use.

Ina's is A-OK, exactly as the 3 stars suggest. Nothing mind-blowing, but certainly good enough.

Finally got to Ina's for brunch a couple of Sundays ago. The place was busy as is the norm- but we got there around 10:00 and were seated in about 15 minutes so the wait was pretty short.

While they have a nice outdoor patio- it was brisk on the morning we were there so it was inside seating for us. The interior is inviting with wooden tables and chairs, exposed brick walls and all kinds of kitchen kitsch scattered about. Check out the salt and pepper shakers- word has it that customers have brought these over the years and include things like chickens, cows and other "folksy" things. We sat down and looked over the menu and the specials of the day.

The first disappointment was when we tried to order a specialty (in fact the item that got us to Ina's in the first place) which was the pulled pork hash. They were out of it on this morning- didn't even make it according to our server. What? Grrrrr. I think I saw a tear in my dining companion's eye as he searched for another entree.

I ordered an omelet but somehow the server heard "egg white" omelet so I got this white blob on my plate with tomatoes in it. Rather tasteless. And my friend ordered the chorizo sausage which was not links or patties but ground sausage served alongside her eggs. Very odd.

Service was friendly and efficient, my coffee was never empty and the bread that they put on each table was interesting and tasty. Careful if you order tea as my friend did as she was never able to get more hot water to go with her tea bag. They have a full bar and had Bloody Mary's staged and ready to go- but on this morning coffee and juice seemed to be the "norm".

Prices were reasonable with entrees running under $10 and brunch for 3 coming in with drinks around $40. And the best part? While parking is not hard on a Sunday morning on this stretch of Randolph- Ina's also has her own free parking lot that sweetens the driving deal just that much more!

As for a return visit? Oh, I'll be back. But only after a phone call to ensure that the pulled pork hash is available that day, as mornings are hard enough without having to see grown men cry in the morning over something they had a taste for but couldn't get.

Very few brunch spots in this city have a huge parking lot and allow you to make reservations so Ina's scores extra points for that. And Ina's needs some extra points because their food is BLAND!

My large party consisted of 7 adults and 2 babies, which is why the parking/reservation thing was ideal for us.  Our reserved table was ready just a few minutes after everyone in our party arrived and they even had the high chairs ready for the little ones- score.

I was stoked to try their whole wheat oatmeal pancakes because they are somewhat healthier than normal pancakes, although I'm sure Ina found a way to somehow make them unhealthy.  They were pretty disappointing though. I usually don't even need syrup with good pancakes, but these were way too bland so I found myself loading them up with syrup. So much for somewhat healthy! My husband found his regular pancakes to be pretty bland as well.

The service was speedy, which we appreciated cause of the little ones we had with us. Definitely a good kid friendly spot (we only got a few dirty looks when one baby started crying). Come here for the kiddies, parking, and reservations...but not for the food.

The location is amazing, the food is incredible (pulled pork with a slightly spicy-sweet sauce, homemade coleslaw and tiny potato pancakes - good godamn!) and the service was spot on and stellar.

My one concern was the decor.  It was kind of...OK I will say it... it was bad.  Peach and green walls with torn up blue commercial carpet, exposed beams and a heavy, clunky floating staircase that is straight outta 1980.

And actually, now that I think about it, if you stumbled onto this place in some suburb or on a road trip through Kansas City, you wouldnt think twice about the decor.  I guess it is just so shockingly wrong for Randolph Street I cant get past it.  Anyway thats the reason I cant give Ina's a five star review.  Or maybe I will just come back and sit outside.  The patio looked pretty nice and then I dont have to be tormented by the colour palette.

Went to Ina's with a few friends after seeing a taping of Oprah and had a truly wonderful time.

The set up is cute and the service was friendly- I think our server gave us extra special care because we were the only non-senior folk in there. I love all the little animal salt and pepper shakers and the food was damn good. It was a pretty good sized breakfast and I finished every bit of it. They're very quick on their coffee service and every cup a joe I got was fresh and delicious.

I will def be back. PS- did I mention they have a free parking lot? How can you not love Ina's?

Still five stars, principally because of the menu.

Long wait, but that's what you get for arriving at 11am on Sunday. As always, Ina was there meeting and greeting.

And as always, there are just too many good menu choices. My wife switched from her normal cup of coffee to a hot chocolate and whipped cream with two shots of espresso. She loved it. We both had the oatmeal and whole wheat pancakes (4 giant pancakes, too much to finish) with blueberries. I added the chorizo as a sidedish - awesome Mexican crumbled sausage with a bit of a spice to it.

Service is great as always. I love the coffee pot left on the table, so you always have instant refills. It's busy and crowded, but somehow the crowd noise doesn't keep you from chatting with the people at your table. And Ina's parking lot, although overflowing on the weekends, means no searches for parking, or long walks back to the restaurant.

The story is that Ina threw out Gov. Blagojevich for breaking her no cell phone usage rule, when he was still Governor. I love it!

Totally fine breakfast food. I left full for sure. But $20 for pancakes, one OJ and a cup of coffee? Um. . . there were no gold flecks in it, near as I could tell. I loved the ambiance, parking was ample, there was a line for sure. . . and I think I could have eaten a whole carrot cake, by the looks of it. Maybe that's what I should have spent my $20 on. Regardless, Ina is a gem. She is a genuine hostess and the staff was a delight. Go for sure, but you'll want to budget for it.

I would go back. . . but there are so many other places to try.

The food and the staff here are terrible. The location is unattractive and I hopefully will never be dragged back here.

The portions are small, but the prices are large. All of their food is either a bland, non-descript flavor or VERY salty. I have only been here for lunch and dinner however so I cannot comment on the brunch.

Their caesar salad had WAY too much dressing on it, about 6 leaves of lettuce and 3 croutons for $7.95. How ridiculous is that? Then the chicken pot pie was large, and it was hot but managed to taste like nothing at all despite the creamy sauce and vegetables -- definitely not worth $14.95. Their menu is very limited as well -- only about 10 options total. Definitely not vegetarian friendly, and very un-vegan friendly.
