I would not recommend doing business with this company- it employs an auto insurance company for its vans that does not pay reasonable claims, and could be responsible for the non-payment of claims to your customers as it delivers seafood to your place of business. Â We were outside of Cafe Absinthe (Damen and North), where Wabash was delivering seafood. Â The driver entering the alley hit my car broadside directly between two doors on the passinger side. Despite this, and the other facts of the case, their small insurance co, Westfield Group, refused to pay the claim. Â There was no reason given. Â Because it is not covered by a insurance company that pays claims, you can not be sure that customers doing business with you will be protected if one of Wabash's vans is in an accident with those customers. I would look elsewhere for a supplier.
Review Source:An excellent place to hit when you're looking for more exotic seafood than you can find at the grocery. Â
Because it's basically a restaurant seafood supplier, it isn't your typical fish shop. Â You walk into an office, stand next to accounts receivable and ask someone for whatever you're looking for. Â They'll call into the back and in a couple minutes you'll have what you need, cash only! Â My experience has always been great prices and super fresh seafood. Â I bought skate wing there and it was filleted beautifully (not a task I was looking forward to).
