The Washington Club

Oh, we have dive bars in Oakland, but you ain't seen nothing until you've been to this place.  Very sketch.  Seemed like everyone there when we showed up (maybe 6-8 people) were tweakers.  Roommate got hit on all night by a biker mama with about a third of her teeth in place.

I'll give them a second star for having some cheap and strong cocktails, but I'm not ever gonna set foot in there again.  I'd love to see some of you Temescal hipsters try and check this place out though.

one immediately sees  the sitdown bar upon entering. the pool table is directly to the left of the door.  while sitting at the bar, one doesn't have to watch one's back cuz  the floors literally creak when anyone  is walking on the floorboards between the bar and the pool table.

menu:  well drinks (3.00) bottled mgd miller (3.00) very cold.

pros
-digital jukebook is in the house with gangsta rap.
-drinks are pretty strong here. the two well coiffed ladies in the corner may have been trannies. those ladies had really big hands.
-friendly regulars.
