Kiki is nice, they have a MyTunes jukebox and the pizza is ok. It's NOT A SMOKE FREE BAR, so we left wreaking of smoke. Â As soon as you walk in you're greeted by the smoke stench and nasty bar smell. We won't be going there again, but we did pick up some pizza to go on another occasion. The pizza wasn't as good taken out as it was when we had it there. Â Eh oh well.
Review Source:I'm originally from Wisconsin, so when I heard about this place and read the Yelp reviews, I decided I absolutely had to bring my Dad here when he came to Illinois to visit me. He's a down-home, no-frills kind of guy, and after we had done the whole city thing during the day, we came here for pizza and he said it was his favorite place of the day!
The pizzas were great, we got two different thin-crusts, and they definitely lived up to the hype. I can't wait til their beer garden is open for more seating options.
So much a dive. Â And mostly an older crowd but it's under new ownership. The ambience hasn't changed much. Â Mary, the bartender, is a whippersnapper. Â She is awesome and fun. Â And the pizza?? Â Oh shit, you've never had pizza like this. Â Its got some kind of magic to it, so good. Â And you can get delivered--I have had it delivered a few times with company who have swooned with how good it is. Â
The bar also has several "parties" over a year---such as a St patty's Party or a Thankgiving Day party where they cook and all the food is free!! Â Incredible. Â And well priced booze.
The new management is now building a beer garden so I am sure it will be frequented more and more by younger people.

This is THE BEST PIZZA in town. Â There is just enough sauce to compliment the cheese. Â And the toppings, they are gracious! Â Prices are definitely good and I'll eat this pizza over anyone else. Â Â I highly recommend this to everyone and anyone. Â You WILL NOT be disappointed!!!!
Life is Good
Water Works is an old dive, and I mean DIVE. when sitting at the bar you don't know if it's 2pm and sunny or 3am and the world has come to an end. This place is covered ceiling to floor with all kinds of old signs, license plates, stuffed fish... There is also a dive of fish tank in the middle island behind the bar, with yellowish water. When visualizing the place  think of zombies, Chernobyl survivors, dead heads, hill billies & Kevin all in one happy place drinking together in harmony.
However... this place has one of the best pizza's I have ever had. Sliced tomato & fresh garlic. I usually order delivery because the del guy looks like Jed Clampett and is pretty effing funny and cool, but once in a blue moon I will go have a beer and just to enjoy the scenery. I'm a huge dive bar fan, and this one is epic.
Edit 6/9/2011
It's under new ownership, cleaned up the outside, got rid of bait machine and scraped the black paint off the windows ( kind of ruins it's divey appeal) & put up deck about 10ft from Ogden ave so you can enjoy co2 & diesel fumes along with your rot gut whiskey, tequila, CC or Oldstyle!
Dive Bar & Awesome Pizza
Life is good!
Waterworks is definitely a blue collar bar, though I've never sat and had a drink there I went in to get a copy of the menu. Â We've had Waterworks delivered numerous times and each time the pizza is really really good. Â The best in the Brookfield/Lyons area and better in my opinion than Ledo's. Â The crust is very flavorful, and the cheese and sauce are really good. Â
We've never had a bad pizza or sandwich from them. Â The menu is small but that just allows them to concentrate on what they do best.
I've never been to the actual location, so I can't speak to that. Â Though I've driven past it and it has a "Live Bait" vending machine out front. Â I'm not sure why, but that pleases me.
The pizza is the best crispy thin crust pizza I've found that delivers. Â Good sauce (zesty flavor, just enough sauce).
