Okay. So... I think the salads are pretty good (only thing that I've tried) & the people that were working seemed very nice. However....
My boyfriend and I have pretty much given up on ever coming back. Every single time we want to go, we check the main websites hours to see when they're open (it's a newer restaurant and we weren't too sure).
For the last 3 times that we've tried to go, they've been closed. (during open business hours on their site) For instance, today we tried to go (Monday) checked their hours and they're supposed to be open 9 am - 10 pm and they were closed at 4 pm when we drove there. Â and to top that off, the phone number on the site is a disconnected line? Hello? You're a new business in town... wouldn't you want to correct things like that?
Two visits this week. Â There seems to be a problem here and I hope the owners/managers read YELP. Â Yesterday I wanted the salmon salad...no salmon, "but we have krab...yes, krab, and shrimp..." Â hmmm, ok, let's start over, "I want some lettuce with some chicken on it...you can do that? Â Oh ok." Â I was disappointed... Â After my salad was made I took a seat in the dining room, there were others munching on their greens and discussing weight loss. Â I eavesdropped on a few conversation for about 20 minutes, so, I felt like I was in the right place.
OK, today I made my salmon fillet at home and was going to pick up a build your own salad and include all ingredients except for the salmon...walk back to work, and throw my fillet on that yummy salad. Â I'm in line...waiting...waiting...customer wants Greek salad... Â cool, but "we don't have Greek dressing"...wtf?
Today it's my turn at the counter...I want spinach, no spinach, next stop...the dressing, I want the lemon vinaigrette"we don't have lemon vinaigrette today...we have ranch, blah blah blah..." Â OH NO! Â OK, I guess I'll have vinegar with a small splash of olive oil... Â
As I was paying at the register I heard a guy say that he wanted a Greek salad and the guy behind the counter (who just told the person in front of me that they were out of Greek dressing) said that it was comin' right up or sure thing or something like that....anyway, didn't mention to him that there was no Greek dressing and I bet he won't find out until he's halfway into his salad bein' tossed...yep...I went there. Â
OK, to sum it all up...this place needs to ensure they have the produce, dressings, proteins, etc., on hand to make these salads and wraps, some better customer service training, AND maybe two people on site at all times. Â I'm giving two stars because I get all giggly inside when I say that I like my salad tossed and I'm in a good mood today.
I have visited this restaurant twice, and I believe it is crap-tastic. Bland, flavorless salad concoctions shoved inside cardboard-flavored tortillas. The big girl who made my wrap today basically pointed an avocado in the general direction of my sandwich and counted it as a topping. The protein was flavorless and there was very little of it, the service was confused (hapless IU students  - just like most other places in town), and the fonts used on the menu are truly bad taste. The Pita Pit, although run into the ground by its owner's bad financial sense, was a much better operation with flavorful concoctions, decent service, and good portion size.
I will never go back to this place. To quote the move Spinal Tap: "sh%t sandwich".
