I like the vibe, with an area outside to sit at. Â Inside is casual, but upscale and comfy. Â The service was a bit slow, but not a big deal. Â Not a very good beer list, but a good wine list (obviously). Â I was really disappointed with the booze selection overall. Â Maybe I am spoiled with some good bars in Houston with a nice selection of everything (wine, beer, liquor). Â You can be a wine bar, and catter to others tastes as well. Â Anyway, I was not a fan of the pizza I had either. Â Way to garlicy, that borders on harsh. Â And you taste it for a week after. Â A nice enough spot, but one that I am not going to visit often.
Review Source:I like this place alot. I just recently became a fan of wine because I met a friend who was and we went to the Wine Loft a few times. The outside area is a great place to sit and talk and enjoy the weather (assuming the weather is enjoyable). They tell me the wine selection is good but I dont have enough experience drinking it to say for myself. My only complaint is that you can't hear the music when you're sitting outside.
Review Source:Sometimes, people in Lafayette like to pretend they're not in Lafayette. Â Hence, the existence of places like the Wine Loft.
So I don't live in Lafayette anymore. Â Who am I to judge? Â All I know is it appears that River Ranch is the new downtown.
The Wine Loft is a nice space that could stand to have a little more seating. Â The soft lighting is no match for the glare of the lights out in the parking lot. Â
But there's a nice selection of wine and a few apps, including a tasty cheese plate. Â If you're lucky to snag a seat at the bar, you're set for some good wine and good people-watching.
