One of my favorite bars/lounges in the city.  When in doubt I take friends to Wish.  It's not too uptight that you can't be casually dressed to party with the classy warm interior and casual feel of this unpretentious bar. Love the stylish leather couches, alluring red décor and red-shaded sconces aglow with candlelight.
With a bar in the front, a DJ spinning upbeat lounge music in the back, and plush leather couches between them, Wish is always packed with a diverse crowd. It has that neighborhood homey feel. Â The drinks are reasonable priced though it can really be hard to get a drink on nights when it is packed. Â So best to come in early and get a spot for you and your group.
One thing that sucks are the tiny bathrooms. Â There are two, one for men and the other for women but with such limited space it can get tight and you have to wait in line for a bit. Â With the lines at the bar and the bathroom you could be doing a whole lot of waiting on weekends. Parking can also be a challenge in the SoMa area. Â Despite all that it still is a great place to hang out. Perfect place to chill with friends or even bring a date!
