Smaller than the Brewery District location. I was there on a Saturday afternoon and there was enough seating. I love to do the little minis; with so many choices why choose? The staff is great at making suggestions based on what you like. And you can sample anything.
I'm a wheat beer girl and so normally you get one choice, but here, many!
World of Beer at Easton is kinda genius; great way to bribe the BF/Hubby to go shopping; a beer at the end!
Beer selection is amazing of course, but very pricey for no reason at all. $10 for a snifter pour of Jolly Pumkin is a little high. It shouldn't be over $7.
Most of the staff is knowledgeable about beer (behind the bar) and were very helpful with giving samples to my wife.
The bands..... please stop with the bands. There are many reviews with the same complaint.
It smells really bad in here. Its a Combo of body odor, spilled beer that was never cleaned and bar sanitizer. Maybe better ventilation?
This is my husband's home away from home. He is slowly making his way to 500. They have every beer known to man and the staff knows their beer. Tell them what you like and they'll find a few new brews for you to taste. Since my hubby is in the Loyalty Program, I like to try beers he would never like. Win/Win.
They don't have food service but you can easily get a waitress to bring you food from surrounding dining spots- our faves are Ethos and Lime.
For the ladies who may not be over-the-moon at the idea of spending hours on end at the bar, you can easily divert yourself with lots of shopping and spa options. There's a DSW, a Banana Republic, a Charming Charlies and lots of great boutiques. When you're done grab a Starbucks and head back to your man at WOB. Everyone's happy.
Simply an awesome selection of beer from all over the world. Â Sunday and Monday are SIN ( service industry nights ) so if you say your work in the service industry, half price beer....don't know if that's for all.....but you do get it on drafts.
It would take you weeks to try every beer they have. Â Bob's Bar at Morse and High is the only other place I know of that has a comparable selection.
Was there on a Monday night. Â Fairly busy. Â Caters to a 20 something crowd mostly with some 30 somethings there too. Â I'm guessing because of SIN.
The bartenders know their beer there so don't be afraid to ask for recommendations and samples.
I want to go back real soon!
TIP: Â Eat first or order food in from the menus they have for some surrounding businesses....they don't have a kitchen on premise.
Beers, beers, and more beers! That's what I've got to say about that! Even at their busiest, the World of Beer staff is happy to share a knowledgeable tidbit about some of their most obscure beers to help you try and find something new that you will like.
I've heard that all of their staff have to undergo extensive beer education/training when they are first hired. And it definitely shows with their knowledge of what they have on tap as well as in the bottles.
Just like all world of beer locations, this one does not have a kitchen. However, you are able to order from many of the local restaurants and they will have it delivered to World of Beer. Not only does this save World of Beer money, but it opens up in myriad of options for different types of food from other local restaurants.
