I usually enjoy the local craft beer places in my area, but meet Full Sail folks out at this location. Â Not gonna list the far location from home as a minus because, well, thats my issue, lol. Â There are plus and minus things for me with this place. Â
Plus:
HUGE beer list, including a HUGE draft beer list.
Companies will set up here and have free samples to try frequently.
The staff are on top of things usually and even on busy nights, you don't have to flag them down for more drinks.
Minus:
The outdoor space is pretty big, but draws huge crowds on some days.
The outdoor space is not smoke-free, add that to the first minus, and burn your clothes when you get home.
If your TV tastes vary from anything other than sport related, then...drink more beer to distract yourself or make whats on the TVs more interesting.
All in all, still a great craft-beer place to hang out with a group!
The selection of draft beers and bottled beers is very extensive here. Â I also love the location. Â I wish I could say I am a fan but the service is usually terrible. Â During busy times they are usually not staffed well enough to keep up with the demand. Â The bartenders are very knowledgable and usually friendly though. Â Eventhough it is non smoking inside, the patio smoke creeps into the bar area at times. Â Also, the music can get so loud that it is hard to talk. Â The times I have gone early afternoon on the weekend it is more of a chill environment.
Review Source:This was our (my husband and I) second stop on St. Patrick's Day. There was a pretty cool band playing some great 80s pop. The bartender was a bit lazy. I suppose she expected us to ask for a readily accessible beer, but who does that at World of Beer? I can get a corona anywhere. Needless to say, she was not tickled about having to look for my St. Bernardus. For each beer I attempted to order she just kept saying "we don't have it". Um...okay. I get that it's St. Patty's Day and all, but there's 8 of you back there. We settled on Guinness (which is a great beer), and she received a 10% tip. We routinely tip 20. I am a bartender, I do not compromise my work ethic simply because it is super busy.
Review Source:Yep! This place is a great spot to try amazing beers from all over the world, and the ever-changing draft selection is among the best in town. My only complaint is that it's not a particularly comfy place, with very limited seating, especially when it's crowded...but hell, it's a bar. They serve "beer shots," which are a great way to get a 4 oz taste of something without committing to a full serving. The only slightly disappointing experience I had was when they were holding a special event for Bells (whose beers are tasty but not spectacular). Â Almost the entire wall o' taps was taken up by Bells' beers, and I had just been bragging to all my friends about the diverse draught selection at this place! On the bright side, this afforded all of us the opportunity to delve into their extensive bottle selection, and we had a mixed bag of blah to fascinating to fabulous beverages. It's easy to get overwhelmed by the menu, but too much of a good thing is just exactly that: really really good:)
Review Source:I recently went to World of Beer for the first time. I happened to be over by the UCF location. I don't make it to that end of town very often and I was looking for a place that I didn't have to deal with the shenanigans of a bunch of college kids. There were a good amount of college kids there but the atmosphere was laid back. There was no annoying DJ shouting at the top of his lungs or girls doing body-shots off the bar. There was a live acoustic band and sports on the televisions. There was a large outside patio where you could smoke. There were also several TV's on the patio.
As far as the beer selection, this place has it nailed down pretty well. They had at least 30 taps of all kinds of import and craft beer. What they didn't have on tap they offered through the extensive menu of bottled beer.
One thing that kind of bothered me was the bartender didn't seem to know anything about craft beers. In fact, she didn't know too much about beer at all. I asked her for a recommendation on a good IPA and she was lost. If you run a place like this it would be a good idea to train the staff to talk the talk because the customer base is undoubtedly educated on the subject. Some of the prices were a bit high but that kind of comes along with the territory.
If I'm ever back in the area I would definitely give this place a second look and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys craft beer.
I've been to many different bars/lounges in Orlando and I feel that WOB is one of the best when it comes to beer and their selection (obviously since they're called world of beer). Â Their bar is almost overwhelming in a good way because all the different taps and bottles on display. Â I love how their beer menu will change as well with the season. The only down side is that they don't have any "beer food", but there's plenty of restaurants in the area you can order from and they will deliver to you at world of beer.
Review Source:I love getting a beer here! Â Not only is there indoor and outdoor seating, but it is cozy and there is usually plenty of places to park your beer drinking kiester. Â Every time I have come here I get some really awesome recommendations from the wait staff who KNOW their beers. Â They have a large selection that changes up frequently. Â If you hit them on Thursday nights they have a nice happy hour with selected beers and wines. To boot, I can always get something good here from the Brooklyn Brewery, one of my all time faves!
Review Source:Me rating WOB UCF is long overdue because I Â have become somewhat of a regular here. Â If you are a craft beer drinker, this is about as good as it gets. Â The beers are thoughtfully selected and taste like they are supposed to taste. Â The place does enough traffic that the drafts are always fresh and I would guess they keep the lines clean. Â The bartenders really know their stuff because they put them through 2 weeks of training on beer. Â It is so refreshing to go to a beer bar where the staff actually knows something about what they are serving. Â (Admittedly, some are better than others.) Â I see many of the staff enjoying the product at WOB on their time off which I think shows real dedication to the work. :) Â The are just as friendly mixing with the crowd as they are behind the bar.
WOB UCF can be crowded and noisy on the weekends when they have live entertainment. Â They put the bands in a loft area above the bar which is unfortunate (for the band) Â and odd. Â The seating fills up fast even on the weekdays which is a more comfortable time to go. Â Many TVs mounted above the bar blast whatever sports are going on at the time. Â They don't serve food but they will let you order delivery from local restaurants. Still, I think they could improve on this by inviting one of the many food trucks to park outside on most days like they do for special events.
Speaking of special events, they have many specialty beer nights/days and host events like Beer School where you get 12 samples with sample food pairings and a story about the beer from the manager for $25 - a good deal. Â I highly recommend going to these if you are a craft beer fan. Â The manager, Derek, did a good job of picking a good mix of familiar and unique beers, and telling their stories.

Can't go wrong with this place. Of course they have a lot of bears to choose from. It would be a five but the times I've been the special beer on tap has been out and you can't always find a table. Bartenders are nice and knowledge and will give you a sample.
It can get crowed at times so you may have to stand for a while. They do let outside food in and have seen the local sub shop deliver quickly and run off.
The service is good the waitresses are also quick to get you a refill.
World of Beer is great because it's like going to all those faraway places without having to go somewhere. Pseudo traveling.
Like another Yelper commented - I also tried the blueberry beer (it actually had blueberries floating in it) and was excited at first, but sad once I tasted it. And sometimes you get a good beer, sometimes you get a bad beer. Such is life.
I love that since they don't serve food, they let you bring your own! I usually order take out from the thai place around the corner, in the same strip mall, and then I get my favorite beers and some awesome thai food. Could life get any better?
I've been to the WoB in Lake Mary as well, and I think that one is a lot quieter. Being by UCF, I think they get a more lively crowd, and they really pack 'em in. If you can find yourself a table, you're in good shape.
The only problem is wanting to try all their beers. They have something like 500+, and drinking them all is a nearly insurmountable task. But hey, you've got to have goals, right?
Short version: The Bartender intentionally took advantage of me and sold me a very expensive bottle beer.
I've been here multiple times. It's usually an ok location (usually packed w/ college kids), now that Underground Blues is closed. However, I will not go here again.
The last time I went here I had Wes as a bartender. I asked him what specials he had on tap. He asked me what I was in the mood for. I then asked, "If you were here drinking, what would you drink?" He said he knew just the beer and brought out a liter bottle from behind the bar. It wasn't a bad beer, but it wasn't great either.
At the end of the night, after only having two more droughts, I closed out. There was a charge for a $32.00 beer (Yes, thirty-two) on my tab. It was for the bartender's choice.
I have never been to a bar where the bartender *intentionally* sells ("dupes" or "tricks" are better words than "sell") me one of the most expensive drinks in the place. Being a former bartender, I would NEVER do this to a guest.
This has been one of my watering holes for a while. I really do like the place and the people who work there but it seems like things are always hit or miss. Since Paul left it seems like the 'different' beer choices arent coming around as much and that was one of the things I liked most about it. Either way, you can count on being able to try something new every time you go and it is nice that you can take in/order your own food. Im almost to 250 beers and hopefully can get to 500 soon.
Review Source:I like that there is a huge selection of beers but the night I went they cut their list in half because "they had an event prior and everything was gone" seriously? It was my first time here and I did not get the WORLD OF BEER experience. Maybe next time my experience will be better. Oh, and my server was hungover...she even told us.
Review Source:Unparalleled beer selection. You'll never want to drink Bud, Coors, etc. products after drinking some of the choices here a few times. Â Ask the knowledgeable staff for suggestions...or sample free tastings of the very wide row of drafts. Â Â The prices are not cheap...but neither is the beer cheap tasting. Â Watch out for the alcohol content percentage...or possibly get hammered unexpectedly. Â Food is not sold there...but can be ordered and delivered by several local mid-priced establishments (they have their menus).

I was disapointed when I told the bartender I wanted something "fruity" tasting and she gave me this beer that smelled of blueberries but tasted of horse piss. Oh well, you win some, you lose some. I will come back, I'm sure :)
Not a bad place to pick up a beer or two after work. I met up with a friend here for some early afternoon beers. There's an indoor area that opens up into the outdoor area and a couple of high-tops and a bar.
The outdoor area was pretty decent though you only have a view of the parking lot and when city sewage came around to clean it totally killed the atmosphere. We had to move to a high-top inside, the smell was so disgusting.
This seems to be a decent place for folks who live and work nearby. I'm no beer expert, but I can think of a couple of places near Downtown and South Orlando that I'd head to first based on price, selection and atmosphere.
Definitely like any other World of Beer, but be prepare for this to be your typical college bar with a bunch of dudes who think they are total beer connoisseurs because they know the difference between an ale and a lager! Â Service is relatively fast; Â I always prefer to go on the weekdays because it is much less crowded, especially in the day time. Â It's still casual for an after work drink without it getting crazy. Â The few times I have been there at night, the live music was awful and we would end up mingling outside to be able to still carry on conversation. Â Hard to find a table when its busy and you definitely have to be aggressive when people stand up and that can be dangerous with a young testosterone-filled drunk guy fired up from that football game!
Buy a WOB card! Â It's totally worth it!
I went here with my sister on a Wednesday night, which is college night. Â One good thing about freshmen. You keep getting older, but they stay the same age. Â Am I right? Â Ok, inappropriate. Â Let's move on.
There is a ton of beer here. Â One of the things I don't like when I go to the World of Beer is West Palm Beach, is that when I finally get my turn at the bar, I freeze with all the beers in front of me and end up making what you might call a rash decision. Â Here were stalked out the tables like a pedophile would stalk a bus stop. Â Eventually we got one, and with a waitress to take my order, I could take a lot more time to make a decision. Â
There are over 500 beers here, as well as ciders, and beer cocktails. Â Just looking at all the coolers is enough to make your head spin, but luckily they have menus and the bartenders are knowledgeable.
I ordered some beers, I got a free beer, perhaps someone sent me a beer along the way, I made some new friends. Â Overall, a great night at the World of Beer.
If you are a beer snob, World of Beer is definitely the place for you. With 500 bottled beers and 40 on tap, there is really no way you can run into the issue of continually ordering "the usual." As this is a relatively new location in the First Watch / Extreme Pita plaza located off of University Blvd out by UCF, the bar itself is nicer than most. Personally, I enjoy the open layout and outdoor patio/indoor pub feel. The crazy thing is, they even have an above-the-bar stage on which you can usually see bands performing on weekend nights.
Speaking of weekend nights, I wouldn't recommend going to WoB at prime time (around 10pm-1am) on a Friday or Saturday night unless you want to deal with crowds and difficulty getting a drink. There have definitely been nights I have walked in here with friends and walked right back out because there was simply no way we would be able to get a drink and comfortably sit down and enjoy it.
That being said, World of Beer is a good place to check out if you like obscure beers. You should be able to find almost anything your heart desires, and more than likely it will be on tap too. But anticipate the $5 you will probably end up spending for that convenience. (Note: I have not yet taken advantage of Weds College nights nor have I looked into getting a WoB card, both of which I have heard can save you money here.)
Oh World of Beer, how I wish I could give you 5 stars! It was really close, I fought with the temptation for some time, but in the end I just couldn't quite do it.
5 stars for the beer selection, obviously! 500 bottled beers, 40 on tap. That's it, end of competition, it's the best place in Orlando for beer. Some will say it's expensive, but I don't think it's that bad -- sure, you can rack up quite a tab, but you need to look at the beers you're getting and compare apples to apples. Â It's going to cost WoB a lot more to get some of these beers, so of course they'll be more expensive when they get to you. Â It might be cheaper to go to $5 bucket night at the Crap Shack, but it's not really a fair comparison.
5 stars for the rewards card. Â Not only do you get free stuff for reaching several milestones (100 beers, 250 beers, etc.), but you get a discount on Tuesdays if you have a card. Â You can even ask them to print a list of all of the beers you've already tried, so you can keep trying new stuff without repeating beers.
5 stars for the servers. They all have a good knowledge of the beers they sell, and some are great at coming up with new ones for you to try. Â Our favorite server is Kyle, I can hand my beer history to him and he'll show up a minute later with a beer that I'll love, guaranteed.
Despite all of this, I can't quite make it to the full 5 stars because it's just too small. Â I'm surprised that they selected this location, honestly. Â If I plan on being somewhere for a while and I can't sit down, I'm not going to stay. Â I've walked in to WoB and left again without ordering probably half a dozen times so far, because it's three deep at the bar and no one's going anywhere at any of the tables.
This is your typical British-type pub mixed with some Floridian fusion... I don't know what that heck means! But this location has an outdoor bar with those pretty  "Christmas" type of lights.
Plenty of different beer on tap or bottled.... I have to admit that I can't judge the alcohol at this place (I do not drink) since I only came here for the atmosphere and having a good jolly time with my friends.
One thing I did observe that during busier times, it may be difficult to find stools to sit on but it speaks volumes how popular this place is.
My friends have made comments how many great selections this location has therefore I can feel comfortable to recommend this place if you want a laid back pub atmosphere after a long tiring day.
Just beware of prices, it can get steep but just go for the experience! :)
At least better than sitting at home on a Friday or Saturday night :D
Lots of delicious beers. Â Quite a bit overpriced though. Â The service is good. Â Usually lots of attractive college folk here. Â LIve bands play often in tiny balcony, usually not very good. Sorry, i like supporting locally, but they've had some stinkers.
My NEW favorite beer is Ochlenferla Schlenkerla Smokebeer. Â Its freaking awesome. Â It is SO smokey it taste, and smells like a campfire...in a good way. It's $11 a 16oz bottle so it ain't cheap. Â But you get what you pay for, i think its brewed in one monk's cellar for the last billion years. Â You can't F with tradition my friends.
Smokebeer! Â Try one for me, then you can go back to your lame Tucher. FYI, you are NOT a beer connoisseur by ordering Tucher.
I may be slightly biased because I know a couple of the bartenders but the service is really good here. It's a really chill place to go and although I drink the same beer every time, I appreciate their vast selection. A beer I had in Chicago was there and I got to have it again so that was cool. Hofbrauhaus beer was there so that was cool. I'm not a beer connoisseur by no means but this place is really cool. Sometimes they have bands play and they have a patio area that (when it wasn't crazy hot) is nice to hang out on. Get a loyalty card and after you drink 50 different beers you get a T-Shirt. A feat I'll never achieve but a friend did and boy am I proud! :)
If you haven't been to a WOB and claim to love beer, I'm ashamed of you. This one in particular is SUPER CRAZY busy on Fridays and Saturdays but that's what you get when it's right next to UCF. Great great place.
Around 50 beers on tap and a knowledgeable staff. Makes drinking around the world actually possible. Wednesday is college day. Get here early on popular drinking days because the place gets crowded. It can be a little pricey for the younger crowd, but this is good if you don't want to hang with the under 21 crowd.
Review Source:Checked WOB on a busy Friday night. The bar and patio areas were super packed, standing room only. They had a live band in this tiny alcove above the bar (Southern Ties?), playing covers.
I loved the HUGE list of beers they have on tap, of which I am happy to say that they have Lambic Frambois, as well as Woodchuck amber cider great for people like me that don't really like beer tasting beer. They also have two HUGE refrigerator cases with additional bottles of beers (more ciders and Belgium fruit beers in there). Only problem with the bottle beers, is there's no list and on a busy night it was almost impossible to get a clear view of the fridge or even hail the bartender for that matter :|
As for the crowd...really mixed. I saw a few UCF students, but also saw equal amounts of older 20 somethings (like me) and people in the 30-40's range. Heck I even saw a couple there that brought their parents/grandparents with them...lol
My only negative about this place is that they allow smoking, and quite a few people were smoking cigars. Â Luckily though the patio area had some fans going so it didn't feel quite so bad.
This is a great place if you like beer. If you don't like beer, don't bother. It IS called World of Beer, after all.
Beers on tap are plentiful, servers are happy to make recommendations. If you like Blue Moon or Guinness, they can match the flavor profile or take you in a different directions. Like an orange or lime in your beer? They've got it. Â The draft menu provides a write up of the beer, so you can navigate it on your own, but the servers will hook you up with some samples.
Want to get creative? Go past a black and tan or a half and half and try a orange chocolate beer, a combination of orange pilsner and a stout. Check out their combo menu for some creative combinations. Â Happy Hour is $1 off all drafts, so this is a good time to check out some of the unusual and different beers.
Lots of TV's to watch sports, large patio area. Very lively and loud atmosphere between the talking, music and TV's. Â No food, but they can get food brought in from any of the area restaurants for no charge. Hey, it's World of Beer, not World of Food. We'll be back!
This is a beer lover's oasis. Â There are forty taps that are continually rotated so there is always something new to try. Â Add to that 460 different bottled beers, and you have 500 different beers to choose from. Â
I've been to WOB five or six times and each visit has been a good experience. Â The bartenders are quick and friendly, and will provide suggestions on which brews you may want to try. Â The wait staff is okay. Â They're friendly enough and make a good effort, but lack product knowledge.
Overall if you're a fan of beer, this is a great place to go.
The place is packed on Wednesday night, half-off drafts for college kids. Â They have 40 taps and they seem to move frequently so the beer isn't going bad. Â Prices are fair and the selection is quite decent. Â Another reviewer noted that the menu is informative and able to guide you to try a new beer. Â They've had a few brewery nights which are quite nice.They also have dogs and burgers when there's a NFL game on.
Review Source:Very friendly and attentive staff! Â We walked in to a lively WOB at 1:15 a.m. with a live band playing decent music. Â The beer is around $6 a pop on tap. Â They have about 40 beers on tap. Â Then they have a crap load of bottled beer. Â They made a unique combination of beer for my girlfriend which turned out to be very sweet. Â The bartender mixed the sea dog blue paw(blueberry flavored beer), Wittekerke(wheat citrus beer), and St. Louis Framboise (raspberry flavored beer). Â Very cool! Â I had just the Witterkerke straight up and the color of it reminded me of Gatorade Lemon Lime flavor. Â Very clean and crisp.
The atmosphere in there is nice and a cool hangout for a group of friends but don't plan on coming here to mingle. Â The set up of the room kind of discourages it. Â The patio is nice and they have a good number of tables. Â
I will definitely be back again as it's a great hangout with friends to sit down and enjoy a nice beer.
Kind of hard to figure out if it's even open from the front of the small mall, but then from the back you'll notice the openness of the place. Inside, it's pretty straight forward. Long bar, plenty of TVs, and then taps and taps of beer in between big fridges full of beer bottles. They have a very nice selection but lack the harder to find international beers. The menu is also full of detailed descriptions of beer types and their differences, a great way to pretend you're a beer snob.
They don't make food but have several menus of places that deliver there (weird in my opinion).
I went on a Saturday night and the was surprised to see they had a great band playing. None of the nickleback-y stuff I was expecting. Unfortunately the layout of the place doesn't seem to make it easy to mingle.
Overall, a nice place to visit but I'd probably check it out on a less packed weeknight.

They have "over 500 beers" they claim, and 40 are on tap. The selection is great, the staff is seemingly knowledgeable and the prices are fair.
It's tucked away in a small strip mall with the First Watch restaurant on University Blvd, and their hours are from 2pm-2am.
They play that typical music from the Rolling Stones to Sweet Home Alabama that you'd expect in a place like this. I can't say I'm one for this type pf atmosphere and I imagine it gets pretty wild in there when it's full of college students, but on an empty afternoon it isn't so bad. Instead of staring at the multiple tv's with sports programs I whipped out my iphone (pandora/headphones) and comics and managed to escape the whole place to enjoy my beer in my own world.
Not too shabby.
They have just about everything you can get anywhere else beer wise- from Abita to Weinenstephaner. They also supposedly have wi-fi and it didn't reek of smoke but they had a nice covered patio out back for the future throat cancer patients.
Overall I'd say the place is ok if you live in the area, but it's not for me, the sports hater.
