Wright's Seafood Restaurant

Amazing dinner! Stayed on Chincoteague Island and we actually were recommended this place by my parents. Food was great and definitely affordable for what you get. We had a table right next to the windows on the water. Highly recommended!

This place is all about nostalgia for me. Used to eat here with my grandparents as a kid. Decorations are very 80's which i like. Got a few extra large rooms off to the side you can reserve for larger parties. View is very nice, overlooking the bay with large windows. Food is always fine. The cornbread they serve is fantastic. It tastes like cornbread cake, not dry like most.  I love the scallops and steamed clams. A little bit pricey but it's local seafood, what do you expect? There is a McDonalds on the island for that... We usually order a bottle of wine and 2 dinners for under $60 for my wife and I.

I should have gone with the reviews and stayed away from this place. The service was fine and the decorum is certainly 1960's era (no kidding), but the food was not all that great.  In fact, one of our family members even got sick from eating there. So, do yourself a favor and stay away.
