This is about the only restaurant / bar still opened past 9:00 PM in Snowmass. They have shuffleboard, pool and foosball all for $1.
HELPFUL TIP: Get a Budweiser pitcher for $10 which is the best deal in the bar.
This place was opened until 2 am giving us an opportunity to have a few drinks and games for less than $20 making it a good value.
It is what it is.
A nice Dive bar in "No-ass" Colorado.
Great if you fly into Snowmass on the last flight in & need to eat. Good bar food.
Tons of lift operator guys and snowboarders. No chicks. Hilarious. You know what they say: you don't lose a girlfriend here, you just lose your turn.
Winter, this is a great bar. I can't tell you how many times I have cruised in and asked them to tune into the Charger game. ( A bronco bar that is accommodating to a gambling charger fan?) awesome! Lotsa NFL on here. Crowded in winter, but I can always manage a seat after a few minutes. Low key, pot smokers. Chill!
I thought this place was really cool, the only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 is because I didn't try food so I just didn't do enough to rate everything.
We stopped in here because A. they serve beer at a cheap price B. the sun went behind the mountain and instantly dropped 20 deg and for someone who lives in the desert, we just cant handle that. and C. we had some time to kill before our dinner reservation.
It's not a huge place but it's small size does not mean that it lacks in charm. I love the dive-ish bars that have the old wood paneling on the walls and the slightly beaten but well used all wood bar, just like this one has. It happened to be happy hour when we got there and we got a pitcher of beer for a really good price. And we just sat there and people watched and relaxed. There was only one server and he seemed to have his hands a little full but was still really attentive to our glasses. I could see the cook preparing the food right there which I like because I'm interested in stuff like that and I think it helps keep things more sanitary. But after one pitcher we waisted all the time we could and left, if we had another day in Aspen, we would definitely pregame there again.
Fun hangout, food was okay.
I got the Philly Cheesesteak with tater tots and I thought it was good, not great. My boyfriend got the Carne Asada since he was craving Mexican food, but for the price it was awful. It was $16 for a pretty small plate of food. Not to mention the steak was sooo chewy it wouldn't disintegrate in my mouth and had to swallow the piece I cut off of his steak whole. Choking hazard.
They have pool and fooseball and also an electronic PGA gold game. Pool was only 50 cents a game, so that was nice. Our total (with tip) for 2 beers, a cheesesteak, and the carne asada was about $50, so I found it to be a bit pricey for a dive-ish type bar.
The only reason I didn't give Zanes 5 stars is because of lack of ambiance. Their food, though, is 5 star material. My husband and I had the Cuban, the burger, steak tacos, carnitas tacos and a steak burrito. The Cuban was great and came with tater tots!!! All their Mexican fare is authentic, fabulous and everything was reasonably priced. You should eat here....we will again!!!!
Review Source:Zane's offers the best bar food in town, bar none. Â Special shout out to my boy Matt P for introducing me to this place. Â If you like tater tots and a good clean chicken or steak and cheese then this place is a gem and a true find for a meal that's under $10 bucks. Â It's hard to find a tater tot these days never mind crackling hot ones smothered in cheese. Â Hands down the best day is Sunday during football with plenty of action and laughs to be had. Â My last visit I was to hurting to have an incident break out but the atmosphere was great for someone out of town.
Review Source:First of all, if I was able to give Zane's 2.75 stars I would, however that is obviously not an option. Â Therefore, I went with two stars because of the service.
Starting with the service, the waitress was pleasant and I honestly believe she was doing her best. Â Plain and simple, the management threw her under the bus by making her the only waitress in the restaurant on a busy Friday afternoon. Â Furthermore, the food came extremely slowly but came out hot, so it was not her fault. Â The restaurant needs to make better staffing decisions for both the front and back of the restaurant. Â
The food was solid but definitely not spectacular. Â Being a native of Philly, I was instantly drawn to the large variety of cheesesteaks. Â I selected the regular which came with sauteed peppers, cheese, and mushrooms. Â It was decent, but the roll was obviously not Philly-style. Â However, the appetizer of fried Mac N Cheese triangles were delicious, not healthy, but delicious. Â
We ended up going the next day as well and the Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup was pretty decent.
Overall, the restaurant was mediocre.
The views are great here, but I came here alone and instead of acting like human beings capable of interpersonal communication, the bar goers thought it far more appropriate to use their squirt gun (yes, squirt gun, that they brought into the bar) instead of their vocal chords. Um, what?
The bartender was equally just as unimpressed with my existence. This place blows.
Zane's is standard tavern food. Â Nothing great. Â The buffalo wings were a bit salty (i've eaten from more than 50 wings joints) and had the typical Tabasco-based sauce. Â Cheese fries with bacon were decent but a thumbs up on creativity (bacon-lover). Â The cheese steak sandwich was clean and good.
Review Source:Great little bar and restaurant in Snowmass Village. Ate here twice, once for dinner once for lunch. I had the mushroom swiss burger and mushroom philly ( yes I'm a mushroom fan) both were delicious and not very expensive. I think our bill for two with beers was around 30 bucks. Fun place to go to after skiing.
