101 Club

When we moved to Mountain View, I declared that the 101 was our neighborhood dive bar; I was sure we would be there all the time.  When we actually went, it lived up to my expectations.  It was really seedy.  It had one of those machines with the claw where you try to grab a stuffed animal, and amongst the toys were porn tapes wrapped in rubber bands so the claw might snag them as well.

The only problem was that my drink was terrible, and a vodka gimlet isn't that hard to make.  I'm guessing by the previous review that the joint has since had a face lift.  I hope they got better bartenders as well.

This is a cool little spot right on El Camino. The environment inside is nicely lit with a multitude of black lights and is nice and cozy.  They have a sic pool table that lights up neons under the BL,  There is usually a nice little flick playing in the background on the projector, last time it was City of God.  Depending on the night you go, you will find a variety of DJ's and music.  I know Now Time Sound used to preform there, and that was a sic reggae night.  Check it out one night, it would be a good place to take some one you wanna get close too.
