2 Guys Grille

Alright, 2 Guys is another classic example of where we need the 1/2 star system. This is a 3.5 star restaurant. Simply put.

We generally stop here on our way to Myrtle Beach, to break up the drive. When the weather is nice, they have outdoor seating and you can bring your dog with. It's one of the few places you can grab something reasonably healthy and inexpensive in Leland. Every other option is fast food.

Their burgers are so so and they don't offer a gluten-free option. The crowning glory is the sweet potato fries!!! I will say their salads are pretty dang good. I always order the spinach salad and they are huge, like...big enough to share. The only problem being they quit offering the warm bacon viniagrette dressing, which was so good you would want to lick the plate. Oh well. They are a bit pricey though.

For all of the poor reviews; the place sure is busy! What that means to me is; they are doing something right. You are not going to get a Zagat rated meal here; no, what they do are sandwiches and fine ones at that. I've eaten here a bunch of times and while the service can be a bit slow at times; the food is always spot on. The Crab cake sandwich is really good and the fat fries are always good. It's just a nice, laid back place to grab a cheap meal.

Visited this restaurant as a business lunch.  I had the "Old Fashion Burger" and it was your typical burger.  Thankfully the cheese and ketchup provided good flavor.  The burger was rather tasteless which was a big disappointment.  The sweet potato fries were the highlight.  I feel it's a bit overpriced too.

Service was good.  The manager was training our waitress so it was a bit awkward at times but I understood the situation.  The atmosphere is alright.  It's a typical "new-age" burger place so nothing that really makes it feel any different from another place.  The effort looks to exist...just poor execution.
