I have eaten here with my husband before and we enjoyed our slice of pizza and salad. Â We however did not enjoy the tiny table we sat at. Â
I went for a second time last night craving a calzone. Â When we went in I asked the hostess if we could have a normal table rather than one of the tiny ones (I am pregnant now and feeling crowded is unbearable). Â She said she guessed so since they weren't busy. Â I guess if they HAD been busy I probably would have left rather than sit on top of other patrons. Â I ordered a calzone (mozzarella and ricotta) with the addition of peperoni, mushrooms, peppers, onions and eggplant. Â Be forewarned eggplant lovers- eggplant on a pizza or calzone means the battered, fried eggplant as you would expect in eggplant parmesan chopped up. Â I was expecting fresh eggplant. Â When the calzone came out I was unimpressed. Â Although it was large the ends were folded together so that a third of the calzone was just bread and the middle was a huge pocket of cheese and a few of my requested toppings (along with the fried eggplant). Â The ricotta overpowered the whole thing. Â I may be tempted to try pizza here again, but will probablly just venture down to Falcone's (whose pizza is excellent and the owner is very friendly). Â Maybe I am a crazy pregnant girl, but Pizzetta's just isn't for me.
Excellent Pizza. Great Selection. Good Prices. Very Clean and nicely appointed place. When you enter you can immediately see the Delicious variety of Pizzas and Stromboli in the display case. Slices Stacked with toppings, White Pizza and Sicilian (my favorite). I had the Sicilian Slice. The focaccia crust was crispy on the outside and spongy on the inside. The sauce was not bitter and the Mozzarella cheese fresh.
And yes thank you Pizzetta's, its called a HERO, not a Sub or Grinder or Hoagie.
