Five Star Tavern

There's not to many places in downtown Wilmington that have a lot of class. Fortunately 5 star is one of those rare few that make the grade. Great for so many things other than beer: skeeball, pinball, jukebox and great staff!

yep. that'll do it. a wall of dark liquor. open space. live music. friggin skee-ball. across from the parking deck. off the path of the fraternatards that haunt the downtowns now.

Looks like I dropped the proverbial ball (skee) on getting to review Five Star Tavern first. Cheers, James.  Casual rock and roll atmosphere (see rock posters) with affordable tasty brews on tap. Get in on BrewSkeeball league that is on Tuesdays.  Great way to meet people for locals and newcomers alike.  They have a few pinball games as well as I believe some yelpers were searching a while back. I've been down for a few games and to shoot the shit with the owners and experienced, kind bartenders.  Word is Wilmington Unplugged and a stage is being set up for live music. Pub trivia nights too... Really cool addition to that corner of downtown. (five stars)
