Duck and Dive is a great bar to take your pup and have a drink. I went on a Sunday and the $4.50 Bloody Mary's were pretty good especially for the price. There were so many dogs there all with great behavior. Â They have seats out front, plenty inside as well as a side patio section. There are a great number of beers on tap--just be sure to look around the bar as they are not all together. Â Staff is very friendly and keeps empties at a minimum by checking tables often.
Review Source:The pub is nice. Â They allow dogs. Â But the bartenders are terrible . Â They have serious tunnel vision. Â I live two blocks away and it always amazes me how poor the service is here. Â The bar is about 20 feet long. Â Last night there were two bar tenders and a bar back and it still took way too long to get a drink. Â (And I was sitting at the bar) Â . Â Â
I think it is some kind of bartender arrogance that must come from the 1980's. Â Maybe that movie cocktail where the bartenders were all stars.
This happens so much in Wilmington. Â They love to slam the empty beer bottles in the garbage. Â The place was not even that crowded. Â
I keep giving them 2nd chances and always say I am never going back....but it is so close to my house... The entertainment is usually great. Â
But....do expect to wait forever for the bartenders to look at you!
