Duck and Dive Bar & Pub

Duck and Dive is a great bar to take your pup and have a drink. I went on a Sunday and the $4.50 Bloody Mary's were pretty good especially for the price. There were so many dogs there all with great behavior.  They have seats out front, plenty inside as well as a side patio section. There are a great number of beers on tap--just be sure to look around the bar as they are not all together.  Staff is very friendly and keeps empties at a minimum by checking tables often.

Great bar for Team USA soccer matches

The pub is nice.  They allow dogs.  But the bartenders are terrible .  They have serious tunnel vision.   I live two blocks away and it always amazes me how poor the service is here.  The bar is about 20 feet long.  Last night there were two bar tenders and a bar back and it still took way too long to get a drink.  (And I was sitting at the bar)  .    
I think it is some kind of bartender arrogance that must come from the 1980's.  Maybe that movie cocktail where the bartenders were all stars.
This happens so much in Wilmington.   They love to slam the empty beer bottles in the garbage.   The place was not even that crowded.  
I keep giving them 2nd chances and always say I am never going back....but it is so close to my house... The entertainment is usually great.  
But....do expect to wait forever for the bartenders to look at you!
