I was craving shepherd's pie and a Guinness, so I decided to give the Harp a try. Â This was my first time going there and my first impression pulling into the parking lot was it looked a little run down. Â When I walked in it was a nicer on the inside, kind of your typical Irish bar decor. I sat at the bar and ordered the chips and house made curry sauce as an appetizer and the shepherd's pie, and a Guinness of course. I wasn't impressed with the chips and curry sauce. Â The curry sauce seemed bland to me and it came out so hot that it had a hard layer of skin on it. Â I added some hot sauce to it and it tasted better. Â However, the shepherd's pie was pretty good, not the best I ever had, but good. The bartender was pretty friendly and she checked to make sure I liked the food and she was diligent about keeping the Guinness flowing. Â Overall, I won't be running back to the Harp, but I would go back, especially for the shep's pie.
Review Source:We got take out last weekend and when they bagged the order, they left out all utensils including napkins. Â We were at a place where we did not have access to forks/knives and it's difficult to eat a salad with your hands. Â When I called and complained they asked us to drive back to the restaurant to get them, and also asked us why the person picking up the order didn't ask for them. Â I've worked in the industry for many years and it should be understood that if someone orders take out, they should automatically receive the necessary items to eat the food. Â In my opinion, they should've been willing to discount and/or deliver the utensils to us. Â Will not be eating here again!
