Staying at the hotel so convenient food by the pool. Surprisingly creative and delicious!
Colorado cheese plate: blue cheese, hard (goat?) cheese, soft Brie cheese with fig spread and crostini. Although our server Andy thought this was a "girl's choice," both my husband and I enjoyed it immensely. Tasty. Good variety. Nice presentation.
Kale Salad: one of the best I've ever had! Thinly sliced kale, lightly dressed, with goat cheese, toasted pine nuts and dried berries. Served over sliced golden beets.
Ahi Tuna Tartare Tacos: in crispy won tons with cilantro, lime, cabbage and sticky rice, over avocado purée and sweet soy sauce reduction. Highly recommended however I would lose the sticky rice.
Hoisin Chicken Lettuce Wraps: messy, fun and fresh! Marinated ground chicken served with carrot strips, bean sprouts, cabbage, pad Thai style noodles, ginger soy sauce and lettuce leaves to wrap in. No guilt here!
Service: friendly and down-to-earth. Atmosphere: hard-to-beat.
What a Great après ski lounge!  The food is always good; the staff is always helpful no matter if you are a jean wearing or a designer outfit type person, which is always a welcome thing in exclusive resort destinations such as Aspen.  What a great place to hang out, enjoy a drink or tow and take in some very tasty 39 Degrees Burger, which happen to be one of my favorite burgers in the World.
Review Source:One of my favorite lounges and apres ski bars in the world. Â A few years back my friends and I stayed at the Sky Hotel and literally skied down to enjoy apres ski at the pool area. Â There was a dj and drinks were flowing and thanks to the somewhat warm weather folks were swimming in the pool. Â 80's wear was a must and unfortunately we didn't get the memo but we still had the best time.
Fast forward a few years and this time we enjoyed a few cocktails and bites late night. Â The ahi tuna tacos were a big hit and the cocktails nice and strong as I remembered them.
This is a must stop if you are visiting Aspen.
I admit, I saw the picture for this place online and thought it was going to be one of those really pretentious places that people flocked to and enjoyed overpriced wine and ridiculously small appetizers. I decided to go check it out, as we were looking for a warm place that had a fireplace, beers and an area to hang out
This place is awesome. The bar area and couches are comfy and we had no problem getting seats right away right in front of the fireplace. They had Aspen Brewing Company beers on tap, so we had the IPA and the soft pretzels with cheese and mustard.
They were by far the best pretzels I've ever had -- really soft, tasty and the dipping sauces were phenomenal. The staff was very attentive and came right over when I had about 1/4 of a beer left and asked if I wanted another.
I'll definitely be back next year when we go to Aspen
Gorgeous bar, big fireplace, great people watching, deep comfy sofa seats, and the homemade pretzels are not to be missed! Â The pretzels are served with a bowl of the spiciest mustard I have ever put in my mouth and a separate bowl of cheese sauce. Â The alternating textures and flavors paired perfectly with the soft doughy bundles of pretzel love. Â The root vegetable nachos were damn tasty too, but honestly those pretzels were to die for! Â
Bar was fairly hopping apres ski on a Wednesday.
Ummm....Maybe this is a temporary thing, or maybe they're just tired of cleaning up broken glass on their nice outside patio, but when I pay $13 for a cocktail, I'd really appreciate it in a frosty cold glass, not a cheap, disposable plastic cup. And it would be nice if it was cold as well...
Just sayin'.....
Anyway, we didn't eat here, just had some drinks, so I can't attest to the food.
The decor is great and it looks like it would be a good spot, but, really??
Phenomenal is not a word I throw around a lot. And I'm pretty sure I haven't used the word ever in a Yelp review.
And though I can't speak to ANY item on the menu other than the "39 Degrees Burger" - I can tell you that it is one of the top 10 burgers I've ever had the pleasure of consuming. Really.
Apparently rendered duck fat is used in the meat, and a secret selection of spices and cooking temperatures and styles are used in every ingredient.
I couldn't get enough of this burger, folks. And the crispy onion ring thingies were salty amazement. Amazeballs we say back home.
I didn't get to eat at Minetta Tavern during our last NYC trip - but I suspect that if I did get one of those burgers, it might have been as good as the 39 Degrees burger.
Go. Oh yeah - and the scene wasn't anything to write home about. I'm only rating the BURGER.
My group came here to eat after reading about their burger. Â We didn't care much for the crowd, and ended up eating on a table in the lobby of the hotel. Â I had the venison pot pie which was pretty good with a light flaky shell. Â The venison was really tender. Â I also shared some tasty fried onions which were thinly sliced and covered with tempura batter, I believe. Â The fries were bleh. Â I tried three desserts as well: crepes, chocolate cake, and the toffee pudding. Â I wouldn't bother ordering the first two but the toffee pudding was okay.
Review Source:Not much was happening here on  Wednesday night but that was fine with me.  It was arrival day and I was pretty beat.  All I wanted was a stiff cocktail and some food before hitting the sack.  39 degree's delivered in a big way.  Wes the bar tender gave us some helpful advice for some Aspen rookies.  He also pours a great drink.  My friends and I got some chicken clubs which were amazing.  We're talking avocado, bacon, chicken, lettuce, some tasty sauce... a perfect meal after a long day of travel.
The decor of this place seemed very chill.  It had exposed wood beam walls, some flat screens and a giant window looking out onto the pool area.  I can totally see how this place could be a swanky lounge on a  Friday or Saturday night.
Not sure if they got the memo that naming yourself after a certain temperature just isn't that "cool"... I'm sure Nick Lachey could attest...
The one and only thing you will think of when you step foot in here: Trying. WAY. Too. Hard.
While the Apres culture is the icing on a perfect day of riding white, 39 degrees is doing too much and doing too much.
Blaring hip hop music, with sheek benches that are impossible to get comfortable on, decor that is more fit for a Vegas penthouse than a place for frosted water, and a staff that debates hair gel makes this place almost unbearable for even 1 drink.
The only reason I would come back would be if Derek and Hansel were here because they actually care about kids who can't read good.
This place is the archetypical, swanky, young professionals' lounge. A place to see and be seen. Essentially, 39 Degrees defines the Aspen aprés ski scene. Complete with indoor lounge and outdoor bar, poolside, at the foot of Aspen Mountain.
39 Degrees also offers a limited menu if your interested in eating.
It can be a fun place, but I tend to mosey on to less pretentious watering holes -- yes, they do exist in Aspen!
