Solid selection of great beers on tap. Fresh squeezed OJ in the screwdrivers and a maple bacon bourbon milkshake. They are okay with takeout and even have menus. Outdoor patio is perfect on a warm day.

Dan Brown's closed a month before I moved into the apartment complex across the street, and I've been waiting over two years for a new bar to open up. This place finally has, and it was worth the wait. It's relatively empty now, but I have faith that they'll attract new patrons soon enough.

The bartenders are all really cool - they're laid back, generally know their drinks, and know when to engage in conversation and when to leave you alone. I've been coming frequently to watch the NBA playoffs here, and they've been very accommodating.

The beer selection is small (6 taps) but very good. They keep decent stuff on tap (usually a hefe, an IPA, a DIPA, a stout, a lager, and PBR as the cheap choice), and then have some nice Belgian beers in bottles. My biggest complaint about this place is that they don't have more beer choices, but apparently they plan on adding more taps.

They do have a solid variety of whiskey and bourbon, and generally carry decent quality stuff as the well for all liquors.

They also have $5 fresh-squeezed cocktails which are delicious and cheap. Definitely try a gin and grapefruit!

Happy hour until 7 (I think every day?) which is $1 off well drinks and beer. Lots of TVs (2 in the bar area, many more around the pool tables), and they're happy to put whatever you want on.

    This place is pretty awesome.

Good drinks and beers on tap? Check. Reasonable prices? Check. Cool bartenders? Check. Good vibe? Check. Pool tables? Check. Arcades/pinball? Check. Multiple TVs so that you can watch the game? Check. Surprisingly chill back patio? Check. List of menus of surrounding eateries so that you can order food with ease? Check.

Not really sure what more you can ask for in a bar. It's only a matter of time before this places catches on.

This is my new favorite bar. Although I'm not much of a drinker, this place makes me want to be one, too. They have very good selection of alcohol (beer & liquors). Bartenders know their drinks very well. I learn something new every time.

I personally recommend rum & coke (with real Mexican Coke!) or screwdriver with fresh squeezed orange juice.

Ambience is great, bartenders are very friendly and drinks are very very good. Definitely 5 stars!

Once Dan Brown's closed, there was no bar in walking distance of my house.  Well, in the same space the Dan Brown's was, 4141 El Camino is filling the void.  The interior is basically the same as before with a new paint job.  The pool and pinball tables are still there.  One thing that makes 4141 stand out to me is that they know their booze.  Their well drinks are the same things I keep in my bar at home (Buffalo Trace Whiskey, Tito's vodka, etc.) and they keep good beer on tap (I remember a Sculpin IPA, a Palate Wrecker double IPA, and a hefeweizen, along with Pabst).

I hope they stay in business.
