I really like this cozy little spot. 4 stars just because food was ok, would like to see more varied gourmet  tapas , not so much bar food in small portions. Staff is super friendly and on spot. What is varied is the activities almost each night of the week. Live music, DJs. The music the night we went was awesome. Happy hour Almost every night of the week, even Saturday's!  Diverse crowd. We will pop in again!
Review Source:I have tried to use a puchased groupon at this location on 2 spearate occasions now but both times I have tried the place has the doors locke and nobody answers their phone. Both times have been inside of their scheduled operating hours per their website, sign on the door and phone voicemail greeting. I have also left messages with no returned calls. Great way to do business. Will contact groupon today to just get a refund.
Review Source:I've been here twice. Â The first time was for drinks only. Â When we told the waitress about my husband's severe nut allergy, she talked to the chef. Â Since their special of the night contained walnuts, he couldn't guarantee the food safety. Â He felt bad, but suggested we not order food. Â We really appreciated the honesty. Â We had dinner elsewhere and came back for drinks. Â I came back another night with a friend for dinner and drinks. Â Both nights were great experiences. Â The drink menu is ample. Â The tapas menu is an interesting change from other area choices. Â I'll be back.
Review Source:We went there, from Norfolk, because we got the Groupon. No one greeted us or seated us. Our waitress was very casual wearing a hoodie. We ordered our food, starting with an appetizer and salad. We waited 45 min and still no food! They had a live act that was singing so loud it killed any sort of ambiance. After 45 min. we left-we were over it.
Review Source:A club in Chesapeake? What's going on? Yes it's true, Chesapeake has its one and only martini bar/club scene going on. We had actually walked in once before but walked right out because there was some weird impromptu mic night going on and we weren't in the mood. So we decided to give it another shot on a random Thursday night. This is definitley an "urban" night club with an extensive martini and cocktail list. They had my espresso and french martinis, so I was happy and the music was....interesting. Overall, the drinks are strong and lighting is dim so I would possibly come back late night for some drinks but we had to scream over the music and the atmosphere isn't really our vibe so probably not.
Review Source:Have been wanting to try this place for a while. Was not too impressed. Our food took FOREVER to come. The manager I guess it was came out to apologize more than once and tried to make it right by giving me a discount. I did appreciate that. The food was forgettable. The drinks were pretty good and we caught some pretty good happy hour deals. I love Martinis and liked the variety but I dont think it made up for the mediocore food. It might be a better place to go for the after hours club scene I hear it evolves into when the DJ shows up. I would just eat dinner somewhere else first.
Review Source:I tried this place on a Groupon and I was not disappointed. Â As other reviewers have stated, the decor lends a little bit of an upscale feel and the service is good. Â The only thing that seemed a little out of joint to me was that there are TV screens up all over the place playing random programs on TMZ; it seemed like something you'd see in a sports bar, not a high-end martini lounge. Â Also, the bartender didn't know what a Gibson is - that's really the only reason I can't give this place 5 stars. Â
Aside from the Gibson snafu, the food was great - nice portions and great flavors. Â The crab cake is all meat, no filler!
The 45 Degree Martini Lounge is a nifty little spot in the shopping center on Kempsville Road in Chesapeake. The décor is simple and while it has an air of upscale, it's actually pretty laid back, which is exactly what you want out of a lounge. The only thing I've eaten there is the cheese dish which is an assortment of cheeses served with crackers and grapes. It's light and easy. They have two-dollar shooters throughout the week that are pretty decent and they make an okay Martini.
The best part of the lounge though is that every Wednesday is a comedy night. The entertainment ranges from open mic, to showcases, to story-telling night, to improve night. This is definitely entertaining and worth checking out.
This lounge is a really nice place. It attempts to be a bit upscale but the prices are still competitive with any location's best happy hour. This makes it a fun place to hang out. All the good times of being at a pricey place but with a much better price. The menu is nothing to brag about but still decent and affordable.
I think possibly the coolest thing about the location is the fact that they do open mic stand-up comedy every other Wednesday. This is a cool feature for a place to have and the response in the community has been very positive. Additionally there are drink specials on their Martinis and $2 shooters all night.
The 45° Martini Lounge is a little hole in the wall in the Orchard Square Shopping Center on the corner of Kempsville Road & Volvo Parkway.  When I first walked in, my initial thought was "damn, this place is small"!  But after hanging out for a few, it kind of grew on me.
This is a very nice spot to come in and hang out for a little while. Â The drinks are reasonably priced, about the same as any other bar. Â There is a good mixture of music and people, and is not overly crowded. Â The staff was very friendly and checked on you from time to time to see if you needed anything, which was pretty good with the number of people walking in an out. Â The best of all is there is NO COVER! Â
This is a non-smoking establishment, but for those that need that nic fix, you can step outside and get your smoke on. Â They provide you a place to put your butts out, then you can get back in and shake yours. Â I can get used to this!
