Winston's Café

Shrimp night Thursday.  French dip was all the rave everyone talks about. Nice little nook of a place. The shrimp was not deveined, gross.  No old bay or any spice at all on the shrimp. Despite the shrimp special on Thursday, it was not worth it. Waitress was a bit out of touch and slow.

OK, I wasn't expecting a 4-star restaurant here, but this place was a little disppointing actually. It really looked like a diner - and not in the trendy kind of way. I had one of the local brews which wasn't bad and for food I ordered the French dip: just so so, with cold beef and cheese on French bread...

Service was not that great either. Looks like there were lots of regulars/locals, but apparently I wasn't really a priority for the hostess/waiter.

There was a band with live music. That was cool, but I don't think I would be back any time soon, even if I were in the area.

Good relaxed venue to listen to a band. Good food. Nice change of scenery from the big chain restaurants nearby. Get yourself a cab and load up on alcohol.
