I would give this place two stars, but what saved it was the steamed shrimp. I came here for an early lunch on a Sunday. It's a pretty typical looking pub. A lot smaller than I expected it to be with a nice little outdoor sitting area. I got a diet coke which was served to me in a gigantic mug. It was pretty awesome, honestly. The Reuben, though, was nothing spectacular. Kind of dry, tasteless meat. No sauerkraut- maybe that's not a normal thing with a Reuben. I thought it was. I'm pretty sure the fries were fresh cut but I wish they were a little crispier. They were a bit oily. The server was cool and attentative- as she should be seeing as we were like the only people there. For the most part- I'll probably only come here for drinks. Not the food. Unless it's the steamed shrimp.
Review Source:Pre-Avett Brothers concert  at NTelos Pavilion dinner. The place was packed with concert goers, but they still had a table for 8 available - thank god! The menu is very bar-food (you know, for a bar); burgers, reubans, wings, etc. Â
The food was just okay. I had the chicken quesadilla, it was good, but would have been better if it was hot. Completely understand the service being slow, the place was packed, Â but man do I hate seeing my food sit in a window for 5 minutes while it gets cold. Everyone said good things about their food, so maybe we'll go back on a less busy day and try it out again.
Very challening to find a good place for dinner on a Saturday evening.
Maybe because we didn't have reservations and the Avett Brothers were playing at NTellos pavilion.
This place had decent reviews and it turned out to be a very good choice for our group of five.
I had the blackened scallops. Most everyone else either had the Ruben or the Baron Burger. Everyone thought their food was very good. The potato salad and the green beans were very good sides as well.
Our server was Meliss and she did a great job evem though the place was packed.
