I went here on a Friday night. They had a $5 dollar cover. No big deal. But they made me take my hat off and my leather jacket and were rude about it. So that was kinda weird and pointless. We decided to go In anyway because we were meeting people. We went on the patio and the band was actually killer and that's why I give them 1 star. It took a while for us to get a server and even longer to get the drinks we ordered, but it was busy ......
Review Source:I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food I had there tonight but I'm still feeling ugh about the overall atmosphere. First, their bar area still allows smoking. While I've always enjoyed lighting one up every once in a while walking into the bar area was like having someone blow cigarette smoke in your face all night.
We sat in the open restaurant area. Apparently there is a new room where you can place bets on horses. It's not my thing but if you have an itch to throw down a few bucks to make a little coin this may be the spot for you.
Items we ordered: wings (40 cent wings on Wednesdays), lumpia, nachos and a pound of shrimp. The Cajun and Asian Zing flavored wings were pretty good. I'm a BIG nachos fan but these didn't quite make the cut. Their lumpia was blah (I didn't order it). Now for their shrimp...I was quite impressed. They were heavily seasoned served with lemon and melted butter, a phenomenal combination.
I gulped down two 22 oz Bud Light Limes at $4 a piece for their happy hour special. My clients enjoyed a various mix of different beers and we were quite surprised that my girlfriend's rum and coke was only $2.25.
This place has lots of potential but that damn smokey bar...
