Acropolis Greek Taverna

I'm a big fan of the food here.

The gyros are phenomenal as is the pita and hummus. The pita is moist and baked just right.

They've got a pretty good happy hour special on wine

Every night to start things off right, the wait staff goes through the restaurant dancing to a Greek song and throwing napkins all over the floor. It's a pretty fun experience.

The music can get pretty loud late at night, but the live music is enjoyable.

The food is good.  I like teasing the waite staff (mostly college kids) and enjoying my seat outside on the sidewalk or up on the balcony.  I never sit inside (which is just my M.O. for all of St.Pete.).
I like the restaurant, the loud music on occassion, the napkin throwing if I'm in the mood, and having someone light cheese on fire and yell OPA while standing at my table.
Were a long way from great, and above average here.   I've eaten at the Tampa location which is just smaller, but pretty much the same otherwise.

i worked here for an hour and quit. the kitchen is appallingly gross. and they throw napkins around and dance. its like a cruise ship up in here. no bueno!
