Allen's Country Kitchen

PROS:
Large portions for the price.
Consistent taste with green beans-very good.
Comfortable old fashioned type restaurant.
Friendly staff

CONS:
Really stingy with gravy if that's what it is.
Mash potatoes weren't very good this time though eatable.
Coffee was too strong and couldn't drink it all because it got so it tasted like the bottom of a dirty coffee pot.

I'm getting so I don't hardly go in restaurants anymore because the quality of the food has gone down.

Decent-sized portions. Was both impressed and a bit worried that my eggs tasted strongly of the next guys' hamburger. Atmosphere is a little smoky coming from the kitchen. Seating upstairs in the loft and in the former bank vault.

I love Allen's Country Kitchen.  They have great breakfast, lunch and dinner.  The people are really friendly and it's a nice friendly atmosphere.

We usually eat breakfast--their omelets are pretty tasty.  I've always wanted to try the biscuits and gravy, but haven't yet.  

If you're in the area, you should definitely try Allen's.
