Trash hole, went there for a freestyle rap show I guess it was promoted by power 106, but who knows some fat girl saying she worked at power came on stage to talk about that. First off  I had to wait over an hour to get in and the trashy ghetto people are pushy in the line and try to cut non-stop. I havent been cut in a line since grade school! My girlfriend knew the promoter (a family member or family friend) he was guarding the door and still couldn't let us in. After paying 20 or 40 for us to get in this place was completely empty! I was so pissed it ruined my whole night. Rappers came on did their thing some good some bad there was one guy that came up and sounded great, but his CD kept skipping and they let him off stage! Their sound equipment was bad clipping speakers etc. I didn't spend a dime in there except to pay part of the bottle service since I felt bad not to pitch in, which was a rip off as well. If I wasn't waiting for an hour I would have poured money in the bar ( I like my alcohol). After I left I got pulled over by the dick head Alhambra police and they harassed me for 20 mins even after I asked them to give me a breathalyzer over and over but they kept making me do their embarrassing test. The cops are hot out there the city and this place sucks. Stay away, you have been warned! I live about 5 minutes from this place as well and will never go back.
Review Source:Came here with a friend on a Friday night. Have NOT tried there food.
+ 1 star for 2 DJ's one inside and one outside.
+0 for good looking bartender but total newbie.
+0 for being semi dead.
+0 for music..it was ehhh
- 1 star for limited seating .
- 1 for not remembering a simple drink, asked for vodka and red bull INSTEAD got a vodka and cranberry.
-1 for a watered down vodka. 2/3 lowball glass filled with vodka 1/3 cranberry. Never did it hit my date.
- 1 for NOT KNOWING how to make an old fashion. COME ON!! what bartending school you go to?!?
-1 poorly creating my old fashion. WORST drink i have ever had. EVER.
-1 for a random male taking our request to make the old fashion sweeter, then turns around telling us he was NOT a bartender. Asked our female bartender to make it a little sweeter, rather than making me a new one she shakes it with sugar and gives me the same one. SO grainy and disgusting.
I'm not even a bartender and I can make better drinks.
Final thoughts, a club is nothing without the bar. Again, I have not tried their food. Why the FUCK was there a guy behind the bar, who isn't the bartender?? Â Lastly, WATERED DOWN GRAY GOOSE VODKA AND CRANBERRY...REALLY!! JUST SHUT DOWN ALREADY!!! Forget the 1 star, Forget the 0 star, You get a CLOSE YOUR DOORS STAR. First and LAST time, I'm coming back PERIOD
This place has low reviews for a reason! Â What a shit show of a place. Â I'd give this place no stars if I could.
First off earlier in the week, I call & make a reservation for 20 ppl for Saturday. Â Never am I told that 1) it's 18 years and up [at least for this evening] and 2) they have a comedy show that ends at 10 pm. Â Instead I am told to arrive by 9:30 to be on the guest list. Â
We get there and are told since Ray J is going to be there performing, so we have to still pay $10 which was half off what they were charging all these other slutty dressed teeny boppers wearing shorts too small so their muffin tops are all hanging out; I'm thinking, really?!? Â And did Ray J ever show up? Â Of course not.
All I can say is what a joke this place is. Â You'll never see me there again.
I guess the only gain from this evening is now I know I should ask for more details when I bring friends & get on the guestlist to other clubs. Â Never will I make that mistake again.
i went there on friday this place is horrible...too small and hot inside. plus i didnt know friday is FETISH NIGHT!! black dudes for big mamas so please be either if you go. if not then just go to Blitz instead (Free)
maybe the door lady should've told us? we stood out :(
entrance was $15, rip off!
This place was decent 5 years ago. Â now its ghetto, watered down drinks, and there about 10 dudes to every girl. go somewhere else if you want to have a good time. Â This place is a GHETTO SAUSAGEFEST!
We actually ate dinner here too, which i remember being pretty decent. Â The food was unedible. Â we went to go and grab some burgers at 38 degrees. Â
if you guys are going out in Alhambra go to one of the other spots.
I love Love love this place. Sometimes, you just want to dance, drink and have a good time, I dont know what it is about this place, but you can do all of the above!
First of all, you shouldnt pay, get on a guest list. Parking is free, there is a parking structure behind the club or little parking areas all around the area. Careful with your credit cards if you open a tab, just make sure you get the right one back :).
They have a great variety of music! From the main dance floor to the more relaxed back room with a fire pit. Music ranges from hip-hop,80's, Rock en espanol, cumbias, techno - ALL OF IT :).
If you feel like going out but dont know where- go here! :)
We recently went to celebrate 2 birthdays on the same Saturday night. The place isn't all that great, but parking is convenient. The $10 cover charge is fair, but try to get on a guest list. The music is average and the drinks are fairly price. The bartenders are courteous. Look its an ok last minute place. But the reason we had fun is mainly because we had a great group of friends and we made it happen. Otherwise, I would recommend you try another spot.
Review Source:My cousin just celebrated a birthday here, and of course I went to show some love. He bragged about how poppin the club gets, so I was excited to go.
FIRST off , who puts a dance floor right by the entrance of the freaking club? The entire time we were dancing there were people walking in and out of the club. It got so tiresome. And its not like we could have moved..the dance floor is super tiny. The second room was oddly done too. Fire logs in the center of the room, lol. Really?
Music - front room plays a variety--hip hop/spanish/dance/top 40s. Second room plays 80s/new wave.
Crowd- older spanish people who think they can still wear tight 15 dollar dresses from the swapmeet. A few asians here and there too. But predominatly spanish. And not too many attractive people.
Restrooms- were disgusting! one bathroom only had one toilet ...lol. and the other had two toilets, but the lock on the door was broken! Fix your damn doors!
Cover- we were on the list, so got in free. I would NOT pay to get into this place..just not worth it. I would go back if I got in for free. I just hate dancing in tiny dance floors because you are constantly getting hit or feeling a drink spill on your floor! yuck! If they changed the set up it would be alot better!
I made it out to Alhambra to celebrate a friend's birthday here the other night. I am currently borderline giving this place 2 stars, but I really enjoyed the fact that they played a good variety of dance music (including 80's disco, freestyle, merengue, and cumbias). Otherwise, it reminded me a little too much of the Saddle Ranch at Universal City Walk - dirty, skanky, and straight ghetto. Â I saw way more thongs than necessary and was appalled at the people grinding to non-grinding music like cumbias. Drinks here are not necessarily cheap either. And if you arrive after 10:30 cover is ten bucks. Although, parking is free in the lot behind it. Just expect to have your car completely covered in flyers by the time you're ready to go...
Review Source:Okay so for Halloween Night there was so many options and Halloween parties to go too.. but it's hard to please everyone and go out with everyone who invited you....so after passing out candy my brother and I decided to meet some of my friends that where already at Ambiente. I've been here in the past and it's never given me any problems..so if we got there before 10pm it would be free.. Which of course we got there at 10:20pm and they wouldn't let us in.. either way we paid our $15 dollars to get in and I'm a strong believer of it's not where you go but it's who your with that makes it fun.. and that did apply to this club. The music is ho-hum, the cost of the drinks are overpriced, and the quality of people are "whatever", I think they might have migrated from either azul or sapphire. Either way Alhambra does not have the best nightlight. Thank goodness for my friends for making it a fun night as they always do.
Review Source:Came here to try lunch and it was ok.
Had a wonderful "Chicken Mole Enchiladas".
This was the best to my taste, and I like the facts the food was great.
Interior decor was an ok but not extravagant.
Nice to have TV like a sport bar to catch games, and bad News .:)
Any rate, this is recommended for those who wish to try something new.
Nothing special unless your a typical clubber that just wants to party. Two areas; one inside and one outside. Both small but not as small as there "dance floors". Music and Dj's are generic, nothing special. Only a good place if you wanna be drunk and stupid or if you wanna pick up on drunk and stupid people like you. Emphasize on the stupid.
Review Source:I guess I am a little biased when reviewing this place cause it was literally a 8-1 girl guy ratio when I went. I def. agree with there is really no diversity but in essense it worked for me cause I love my latinas. There was like 3 black dudes there, and I am use to that anyway. I would go back, I only give it 3 stars cause generally its not my type of place but I recommend going one time.
I would have given this place another star if I would have been able to dance with the cougar in the leopard dress, even though I cant dance
The set-up to this location is very nice! There's an outdoor patio with a fireplace set in the middle, then commencing forward is the dining/bar/dance floor area. Came here and me with M.E. for dinner and drinks. There was another group dining, but for the most part it was us and that other group.
Service was superb and music was pretty good as well. Maybe it was because there were only a few people/customers in this establishment that I give it a 3-star! Also, I came here on a weekday so maybe that could've been the lack of people. Overall the establishment was very nice, but my company was a definite 5 star!
you make us wait in like for 20 minutes and there was NO ONE on the dance floor??? they just want to make sure they get AT LEAST the 5 bucks out of you...
the place itself is really nice. i like the set up!!
the crowd, however...
lets just say it's not the nicest mix.
the comment about it being a meat market is SO TRUE.
my friends got "the look" from every guy and it they were not flattered!!
the music mix (it was a friday night) was cool. lots of old-skool stuff, a couple 80's songs, and a bunch of new stuff. the drinks were nice and strong, i recommend the cadillac margarita!
all in all its an okay place if you dont want to make the trek to Hollywood, and can put up with "the up-and-down look"
I had read quite a few bad reviews of Ambiente so I was a little nervous.  I went on Jan 3, 2009.  If you call ahead (and get there before 10:30), you can get on the guest list and only pay $5.  I called but didn't need to do this because we ended up having dinner there first.  I had the chicken mole enchiladas and my friend had the sea bass.  Both meals were very good.  I had asked for no onions but got them anyway.  I complimented the server on the fresh cactus and he went back to the kitchen to bring me more.  The music started about 9:00 but people didn't dance until 10:30.  The DJ was ok but couldn't finish a  song - too bad because the music was good.  The smoking "patio" (really an enclosed room) would be good for dancing except for the smoke and the fire in the middle (it was too hot in there).  The drinks were good (mojitos and margaritas).  The waiters / servers were very friendly and helpful.  I saw the bouncers walking around but didn't see them being rude or anything.  This is a perfectly fine place to go out with a friend.  Not a great place to pick up on someone new.
Review Source:I gave this place 3 stars because it's a really nice club inside. There were no snappers and the music was OK. The drinks were OK, not too strong, but "eh".
My friends and i went on a saturday back around thanksgiving. There were people there. I liked the fact that the parking garage was free and no too far away. The DJ sucked, couldn't mix in music. We even had some dead time.
Luckily we were on the guest list and paid $5. I would only go again if it's $5..tehe ;)
I went here for dinner because we had a $25 coupon for it. The ambience is good in here. It looks like a jamming place for some night life. My positive opinion quickly went away when I got my food. I ordered the Enchillada for $13.95 and my gf ordered the seafood  tacos for $12.95. Paying for that price, I would assume a good size enchillada. Nope. I got a two small corn tortilla roll on a big plate and some fancy sauce on it. When I tasted it, it was barely warm and there wasn't a kick to it like other Mexican restaurants I've eaten in. My gf thinks her tacos were good. I beg to differ but I controlled my mouth to avoid ruining the night. I thought that since we were both hungry arguing how the place is was not a good idea.
When I was eating my food, it reminded me of a restaurant that my family at for my sister's birthday. I couldn't remember it but I know the taste was very familiar. When I got the receipt, it said "Please try our sister restaurant El Cholo.... Ah, I see... They have the same type of cooking and both I am no fan off.
I give it two stars for the service and the ambience. Other than that, I can go back to King Taco for some good Mexican food.
Yeah, the Alhambra nightlife is pretty lame. Ambiente continues that trend.
I've been here twice, each was worse than before...considering I've only been here twice!
It's not a "mixed" crowd at all, and I think some of the people either waits at the other place around the corner, if that doesn't work, they flood in here.
Like the 2 star implies, I've experienced better.
I went here on a date one day and the food was not so good. We went early and we planned to eat so we didn't have to pay a cover charge.
I had the ambiente fajitas and my date had the Blackened NY steak. Â It nothing special. Â My fajitas didn't taste much different from the ones I get at Chevy's. Â My date didn't seem to like his steak either, and just like me I found him picking at his food. Â The waitress was really friendly and very attentive. Â We didn't stay too much for the night scene there but it didn't get to crowded too quick. Â They played some great Latin music, and my date considered staying a bit..but i convinced him watching a movie was probably alot better.
For the price that you pay for food its isn't woth the visit, and apparently by the other reviews, the price you pay to get into the place without the food isn't either...
Hi everyone! Â First thing I'd like to say is that my bf DJ Kelly works there, so stop by and check him out. Â He plays House from 11 til 2. Â He's a dope DJ so come support him. Â This is a little club, but there's two dance floors to get your boogie on. Â Music's cool! Â Atmosphere's cool! Â
One thing I'd like to say, "Girls, watch our for your dresses!" Â I went there to support my bf once and this guy stuck his hands under my skirt and grabbed my cheeks. Â He denied it, but I was sure that it was him. Â What an A*hole!!! Â Luckily, he was thrown out!
Other than that, check out my BF Â DJ Kelly "my ALLSTAR DJ"
I have been here twice and both times I didn't plan on coming here friends got the vote & they were driving... so you know how that goes. Â Also, "they had the hook up" on free admission so that was a huge bonus cuz $20 to get in? Â Fuckin ridiculous. Â
Anyway, this place is a total meat market! Â Guys wanna dry hump you on the dance floor & wanna take off your clothes with their eyes -- talk about derogating women! Â But... the women that do come here obviously like it cuz they dress like "cha-cha chics", "hoochies", "attention whores" or whatever you wanna call them n they dance as if they're in a hip hop/reggaeton music video... looking for their "big break"
They have 2 dance areas one room playing hip hop & the other room outdoor/patio area playing remixed techno electro 80's crap... you know the type that they play 20 sec of each song intro then they change it? Â Errr, that got me annoyed! Â PLAY ONE WHOLE SONG, will ya?!
....but, I'm glad I don't have to go through those nights again b/c you'll never see me here any longer. Â This place all & all, sucks.
I went their once with my dad for lunch. Â The entrees were mediocre. Â I ordered chicken enchiladas and the chicken was hard and burnt on the ends. Â
Great place for lounge and drinks, but not so much for fine dining or good food.

This is one of Alhambra's claims to fame. Ambiente is not your typical nightclub in the sense that people here actually go to have a good time. People dont go to just become wall flowers or stare & gaze at you  in stalker like fashion all night.  They go to be entertained.
Ambiente offers dining and an open bar. They also have a dance floor and an upper lounge area where you can just chill and lounge around. Good mix of different ethnic variations that go for one purpose only, dance your ass off!
Salsa classes are also offered on weekdays.
