I certainly see why this restaurant has been deemed a hidden gem! Â It's just cute, plain and simple. Â
I love the fact that you don't have to spend much time making decisions. Â With two lunch options, the choice should be pretty clear. Â I went with the zucchini pie this afternoon. Â Yummy goodness! Â The limited options also mean your lunch is served up quickly. Â You can't beat that when in a hurry
As previously mentioned, they have an array of fancy desserts, enough to send your sweet tooth into overdrive. Â In addition to the bakery and restaurant, there is a small shopping area, similar to what you might find at a small corner store. Â I saw dry mixes for pasta sauces, Swiss chocolate, and other assorted goodies.
What stands out the most about Andre's is the service. Â The staff is super friendly and helpful. Â Everyone had a smile and a kind word. Â This wouldn't be in frequent rotation for me but if I'm in the mood for a surprise lunch and a scrumptious dessert, I will swing by again.
4 SOLID STARS for Delicious Pastries and Baked Goodies... Â Do they used FRESH, BEST, FINEST Ingredients from Switzerland??? Â I sure hope so... Â Hmm, curious curious curious...
2 stars for the PRICE = OUCH to my pockets...
Was here with N, on Thursday August 23rd 2012 while running errands in this part of neighborhood. Â Did not notice that Andre's Restaurant & Confiserie Suisse is in GLENDALE neighborhood and how many times, I have passed by driving this area...
Decisions? Â Decisions? Â Decisions???
Too many pastries, DIFFICULT to choose... Â Hmmm....
At least the staffs behind the counter, answers my questions about the pastries and baked goods they offer at Andre's.
From what I could recall these were what I ordered that day :
* Â 4 Pastries ($9.00)
* Â 1 Danish ($1.25)
* Â 1 Cookie ($1.35)
DELISH! Â To the Capital D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S! Â I wish I could have more more more.... Â Perhaps one day I could convince Hubs to bring me to Andre's and purchase my BIRTHDAY CAKE, COOKIES, Pasties from Andre's in the future.. Â

I absolutely love Andres.. It's off the beaten path so I feel like you really have to know that it's there. It's not the kind of place you stumble upon. The WORST part of this place is parking. Once you've found a spot, you're good to go. There are only 2 options but they come with a great salad and usually something like sliced tomatoes and watermelon. I love the massive dessert tray they bring out; I try something new every time. I am in my 30s and as mentioned, mostly people over 60 eat here. The other diners seem to look down on younger people eating there but the staff is always friendly and prompt.
