Each and every bartender here is supah cool. Very attentive, and quite professional while being casual and friendly. Kim is a doll. Elton is fabulous. This is a chill little half indoors mostly outdoors Polynesian motif bar. Or "tiki bar" as the haoles call it. Situated ON the beaten bath. Yes. Saratoga Rd is quite the beaten street. The short alley behind eggsnthings is beaten. Not beaten up. Not beaten to the point of all buss, but it is well traversed. So, it ain't off any beaten path.
Good live must every nite, You never know what you will hear.
Good drink prices.
Hot dogs good, Kalua pig sliders so ono! BBQ style or no.
I have donated much tropical decor to this place over the years. Many hanging glass fishnet floats, and Polynesian lampshades, carved things for the shelves...
Good mix of locals and tourons. The crowd is not young, it is all ages. From all over. Well, okay, it is a younger crowd. If you happen to be ninety six years of age.
Take it in next time you are on the beaten path and beat a path to the bar!
friendly local crowd with live music from 4-7. decent draft selection including kona big wave and fire rock.
uh actually really delicious hot dogs for $3. darts upstairs, electronic (boo).
the bartender was friendly enough but maybe i creeped her out when i complimented her hair one too many times. it really looked cool though is the thing.
We had an impromptu dive bar crawl when we were in Waikiki awhile back and this was the best stop of the night! It really doesn't get any better than looking up from your stellar $5 mai tai to see a naked mannequin staring at you. Throw in a jukebox and a cool staff and you have the makings of a great night. Two divey thumbs up!
