This review is not for the food, atmosphere, or drinks. It is for the service.
We ordered to draught beers, and an order of wings. The food and rinks were good, and we were in and out in less than 15 minutes. Our server took our order and brought our food and bill. It was normal service.
We tipped 10% since we were in so fast and were along the bar, not in a larger table. We could have tipped more, but in this circumstance it didn't seem necessary. Our server returned part of the tip (he kept a dollar for some reason) along with a guide on tipping and asked us if we had ever done this before. We were both confused and then we read the tipping card that calculated for us variations of tips from 15% up to 30%. We left a 20% tip that made us feel ashamed, awkward and truly it ruined a nice break from our day.
I understand that this is a tourist area, but in this case I felt that this was rude. Tip are appreciations of service and for what we were given, we gave a small appreciation. Come for the food, the nice view of the beach, but don't  forget that you are required to tip 20% to a server who does nothing outside their most basic job description.
My wife and I love LuLu's! This is our favorite breakfast in Waikiki. Â We eat here more often than any other breakfast spot in Honolulu. Â
She loves the apple cinnamon waffles. Â I love the tuna benedict and the egg scrambles. Â The food is scrumptious. Â The coffee is Kona; tastes great black. Â The price is reasonable $10-15 a plate.
The view is amazing! Everyone should eat here at least once for the view. Â We love to sit back, sip our drinks and pretend we have an ocean front lanai.
