Tiki Town

Love this place !!! Mai tais are best i've had in Waikiki. Been to all the high end hotels and had most fun here.. Yea!!

OVERPRICED - but good music!

The drinks are way overpriced (but what do you expect in Waikiki at the international market filled with tourists)? A virgin pina colada was still $10! However, the only redeeming quality is the great live music that gives this place a great atmosphere! It was a great way to rest of our legs from some serious shopping.

Would definitely come back here again...but not to eat or drink.

Tiki Town had an interesting atmosphere. Tucked away in the middle of an outdoor market that made me feel a bit like I was back in Spain, this is obviously a breakdown bar made of temporary walls and it has no ceiling...

What drew us in initially was the sign for Mai Tais costing only 3.95. What a deal! Unfortunately this was the only reasonably priced drink on the menu and was not as strong as I would have liked. All the drinks we ordered were phenomenal, but the waitresses do not allow any patron to have more than one beverage at once, and would stand next to you while you finished the last sips of the drink prior. It was a little irritating because I am the type of girl who likes to double fist from time to time. I later discovered this is Hawaii state law, but some places apparently don't take it so seriously. I forgive you, Tiki Town. Thanks for being so responsible!

The only food we ordered were the wings. Now, I am not quite sure what sort of sauce is on these, but it is not a typical wing sauce. They were sweet and a little soggy and were not served with any sauce. Not my favorite meal of ever.

The really high point of this bar was the live music. Michael Ray. Is. Amazingly. Awesome. His voice floats through the air like fluffy clouds of fabulous tickling my ear drum. I am not sure why this man is not famous. He should come to my house and sing me to sleep every night. This is the only reason why this place got four stars; otherwise it would have received a measly two.
