Reasons to never go near Home Bar again:
The owner Chris. After a great night, we were pissed about how he handled a situation. Our waitress calls last call for food, my friend orders, we get our food and as Chris serves it, he says, "Are you guys serious?" and decides to harass us to eat it more quickly because the kitchen needs to wash the (ONE) dish. I think we're all joking until he sends his bouncer Jon over to clear the dish without her being finished. To their defense they tried to fix it by giving us shots but at that point my friend was drunk and trying to eat food, not chug tequila. And my other friends were driving. So...thanks for the shots?
To make it worse, we tried to talk it out but Chris kept blaming everyone else! It was the waitress' fault for putting in the order. It was the bouncer's fault for miscommunicating. It was the kitchen staff's fault for wanting to go home. Dude. Shut up and take criticism like a man. I love this bar, dislike you and now not even tater tot nachos will bring me back.
Home Bar and Grill is definitely a great place to go with friends, eat great  food and have a few drinks. Last night we ordered tater tot nachos, garlic chicken, kim chee fried rice, ahi poke, dynamite roll, truffle fries and of course drinks.
Tater tot nachos...this is a must try. Tater tots and nacho toppings, can't go wrong with that combo. The tater tot are nice crispy and goes really well with an ice cold beverage. Made with melted cheese, sour cream, olives, jalapenos, salsa and I think bacon bits. Good combo.
Garlic Chicken...very good, not overly cooked or sauced. Perfection on a plate.
Kim Chee Fried Rice with two eggs...not bad but I don't like peas and carrots in my fried rice but other than that it was good.
Ahi poke...very fresh and tasty. It has limu, onions and i think it has sesame seeds too. Whoever is the chef at Home Bar and Grill, he/she is talented.
Dynamite Roll...It comes with four thick cut pieces of ahi, deep fried with spicy sauce drizzled on it with furikake and shoyu. The pieces were still nice and juicy all the way through and not overly sauced. Usually if you get something deep fried it gets dried out but not this, it was nice and juicy.
Truffle fries...the fries were good, but the pepperoni pieces were salty. Of all the dishes this one wasn't the greatest. Could've been better but I guess if you are drunk it would still taste good.
This place is a great place, but if there if there is someone under 21 in your group that person has to leave by 8:00pm. They do take reservations but I think you need at least 8 people. Since this place is pretty popular if you come in later in the night you will have to wait for a table. If you come around 5:00-5:30 you should be in great shape to get a table and they have valet parking in the back of the place or a paid lot next door.
