RaKuen Lounge

great live music and good sushi and drinks.....

A friend and I ventured to downtown to join in the First Friday festivities. We had planned to grab a drink or two at RaKuen and then check out whatever happens on a First Friday in downtown. Whatever happens? Oh, that's right, we never made it out because we couldn't bid farewell to the awesomeness of RaKuen! Besides a trunk show at a boutique we passed on our way to the lounge, I have no idea what happens on a First Friday in Honolulu!

This is a very laid back lounge. I was immediately won over when I saw that they had beer towers. My fascination doesn't make much sense. The beer doesn't stay cold and I'm basically serving myself. It's the yakiniku of the beverage world. I don't know why, but I am a fan!

I wasn't keen on the Cucumber Ginger Collins. If you like bitter cucumber skins with a splash of ginger ale, you might like it.

The food is pretty good and the beer is nice and reasonably priced. Nice ambiance and live music--perfect place to unwind.

Love this place! Best place to go for Happy Hour!  You gotta try the Mr. Miyagi roll!  I also love their drinks.  Razz Martini and Lychee Martini is so yummy!  Great place to lounge and have a few drinks and sushi after work.
