They hold a Best Pizza in the World contest :-) Did I mention Bikini's ;-)
Good times at JJ's. Â Their pizza averages about $18 but it's sooooo good. Â Their food menu is limited but I always feel like I get my money's worth with how much food they give compared to other bars. Â
I really like the staff behind the bar. Â Always takes good care of me ;)
I've met a lot of cool characters at JJ's, from other students to them grown folks on their lunch break. Â The owner comes out a lot too which is always a plus for me. Â When you see and get to talk to the owner of a place it makes it more personable.
Good times, good vibes, good food, good people...I mean yeah!
The only shitty thing is if you aren't already in Downtown parking sucks.
Went there during lunchtime and it was nearly empty. I like the environment in there. There's a full bar and a pretty good number of tables too. It felt very...Westerny?
Anyway, for pizza, my friends and I got the Giacomo, Margherita, Scampi, and Spinach and Garlic. They were all great. The Giacomo and Margherita aren't far from the classic pizzas. I don't particularly like seafood so the fact that I actually like the Scampi makes it pretty good I think. Then there's the Spinach and Garlic. Who doesn't love garlic?
Parking might be rough since it's in downtown but we were able to find street parking right in front of the restaurant. There's also a parking lot for the theater but it might be pricey if there's an event going on.
