Located at the old sam choys on Nimitz HWY this place boasts Awesome craft beer, cheap pupus and free live music.

Lets be honest and say that we don't go to a bar for the food right? The same can be said here. They have a small pupu menu with the basic bare fare items (fried, wings etc). Nothing extraordinary just substance to counteract the beer.

The champion here (as it should be) is the beer. For a relatively newcomer to the island beer scene they have a great and diverse selection of beer. The flavors of their beer are very apparent and unique.

The namesake beer the aloha lager is decent beer. I dosen't have a distinct taste that makes it stand out but I support local and would pay an extra $1 for one for these over a Bud. (Just wish they would have it in Vegas!)
The Double Aloha was a killer! I can't remember what the ABV was but one pitcher of this will knock you on you A$$! My fave of the night.

We did the sampler and nearly all of the beers were drinkable. The only one that I did not care for was the Agave Lager. It just didn't sit right with me. But to each their own.

It's finally nice to have a microbrewery in town. I'm not taking anything away from the other guys in Hawaii Kai but it's just simply too far from ewa to get a growler filled or to enjoy quality craft beer.

    My suggestion
Come for the beer and nothing else.

The place has a pretty cool atmosphere. I think it could have been an awesome atmosphere, but it just misses the extra 20% polish it needs on decor, finish and staff elegance. The food is not really great. More of a bar food kind of place. The beer, however is very good. This is a great place to hang out for beers, not great for the eats.

The boyfriend and I decided to try this place out for happy hour and it sure is an interesting bar.  We didn't quite understand of why the main dinning area had green plastic chairs, the cheap kind that you find out side on your lanai and of why there were really trendy leather couch sections each with its own flat screen TV.  Was that area for bottle service?  But the interior itself looks like a lanai and the bar area like a sports bar.  Anyhow, stay away from the food, it is horrible.  We ordered the  Nachos and it tasted like bland pieces of plastic and strips of cardboard.  Something was just not right about that dish.  I tried the Kiawe Honey Porter and that was delicious.  My server recommended trying it at another time with a scoop of vanilla ice cream which I did and it's a pretty good combo.  We thought it was hilarious at the end of the night when we waited to get our cars.  Our server was also outside, not too sure of what she was doing, but she seemed either wasted or stoned and went on and on about how the place was going to close b/c they were not going to have a kitchen soon due to Sam Choys closing.  She then proceeded to communicate her love to us . That was funny after dinner entertainment.  Hope the kitchen re-opens soon and with a better menu!
