Went Wednesday night with a friend to "paint your pet".
You email them a photo of your pet, they sketch it on canvas, and you paint it! It's one of the best classes I've seen out there since the painting is so personalized. It's also a bit more expensive than other classes because of the extra work that goes into it ($50).
I think this class is better suited for people who have painted a couple times, or more. Next time I'll try a class where we're all painting the same thing, so it's harder for me to mess up. When all the pets look so different, it's hard for them to help you mix paint colors and walk you through every step. Some of the paintings were AMAZING and you could definitely tell these people had inherent artistic skills. People were looking at mine and smiling politely... haha.
My painting is no masterpiece, but it sorta-kinda looks like Izzy. My fiance laughed at it when he saw it, but it was the first painting I've ever done!
The instructor was helpful, and she went around to everyone giving them pointers and tips. The class included a drink, and they had little appetizers (mini meatballs, cheese, crackers, grapes, peanut M&M's!!!!!, hummus). It's a really cute space, and a fun thing to do with friends. Definitely recommend!
P.S. There is a garage with free parking right behind the studio.
