If you're looking for a bar to hangout and grab a bite, this is a good place to go. The food is good and the atmosphere is fun. They offer an interesting variety of appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, and a little bit of everything. We have tired a variety of their menu and haven't been disappointed in the food. I also like their selection of beer on tap.
I have to agree with other reviews though that the service isn't the best. In fact it's awful. We have been on multiple occasions and each time our server appears to hate their job and avoid their tables. Once they do come they are cold and short, same thing each time. One time I ordered a burger that featured avocado on the menu description. It came out without the avocado which is fine, I understand and don't mind asking them to add it. Â Unfortunately though the lack of service had me out of my chair waiting at the bar for someone to see me holding my plate while my group ate their food. That was frustrating.
Like I said they have a really good beer selection on tap. So it's a shame when we have to sit with empty beer glasses for 5-10 minutes. On another occasion my boyfriend had to go up to the bar and order us a second round since the entire waitstaff seemed to be enjoying their own at the bar. No one had come to check on us since dropping off the food at our table. We had planned to stay longer and watch a game but that was definitely our last round.
As someone who has worked as a server and in a restaurant/bar very similar to this one it is annoying to receive consistently bad service. I've been there and understand bad days happen. But you're there to do your job and customers come first, plain and simple.
We were so hungry and I was way too lazy to make anything, so I broke my promise to not eat out last week (saving up for my long-awaited LA trip). A friend had told me that this place had awesome burgers. So what did we order? The chili cheese fries and philly cheese steak. WOW. The chili cheese fries were good. I'm still getting used to this green chili thing, I've never really had it until I moved out here. So when it came out I was pleasantly surprised. The green chili was spicy and not so piled on that I couldn't get to the fries. The fries were cooked really well too, definitely made fresh and would have been great without chili and cheese too. So despite these being an appetizer and taking forever to come out...it was worth the wait. The philly cheese steak was good too, if only the bread was toasted or something, then it would have been just perfect. 4 stars for the food and reasonably priced beers.
It was a Thursday evening (just missed happy hour). The place didn't seem that crowded, but our food took an eternity. Our waitress was cold and stopped coming by our table and it felt like she was avoiding us. The guy behind the bar was friendlier and came by to tell us that our food was on the way (he must have realized how long we were waiting too!). He also brought our food out, which made him my new favorite person. Empty beer and water glasses on the table? I'm surprised our server never came back to ask us if we wanted more drinks or how the food was...I counted how many times she went to all the other tables and never stopped by ours. Funny how quick she was once she brought us the check and our credit card was on the table. Minus 1 star for our server.
