Aurelio's Pizza

It's nostalgic to come here for me. It's old, it's by no means fancy, the kids playroom looks like a nightmare (but the kids are happy)... only lame, domestic beers on tap. But seriously the best pizza sauce in the Midwest. By far the best pizza in Macomb. I like sitting upstairs and spying on kids' awkward dates below!

I've been eating here since 1989 when they were next to the old hotel on the same block. I've moved away from Macomb but go back here every time i'm in town. Monday night is buy one get the next half off. The pizza is unique and fabulous!! The ambiance can be a bit busy, but it's a collage pizzeria ... what do you expect? Great play area for the kids and easy parking. Sorry no valet parking :(

I took my son, my brother and his kids to Aurelio's last night. We were greeted at the door and then given the choice of a big booth or two tables pushed together. We chose the tables and were then informed that it might be a couple if minutes. It was more like one. Our waitress was friendly and quick. My brother and I ordered super chefs, a large pizza, and ice tea. My son ordered chicken strips and lemonade. My nephews split a medium cheese pizza and breadsticks. The service was quick. Our drinks cold and the breadsticks and salads perfect. When our pizza and chicken strips came they were piping hot and full of flavor! My brother remarked and his kids agreed that Champaign-Urbana doesn't have one pizza place as good as Aurelio's! I agree whole heartedly and everybody's plate was clean. Anybody coming to WIU or Macomb must stop at Aurelio's!
