The beer is cold and food is edible.  A plus to Baker Street is that you can smoke cigars inside even after the smoking ban!

I barely remember being here but I do remember not liking my visit.

I know there's not too many choices for Sugarland nightlife and now I feel even worse for Sugarlandians (?) after seeing one of their more popular choices.  We were in the area with friends who live in the neighborhood and thought we'd hop into one more bar before calling it a night.

It kind of looked like a Chili's had turned into a night club. People milling about with beers in hand, loud music piped in from the dj giving it a club vibe, while others tried to eat their fried platter chain food in the corner at the dark tables.  Prices were slightly too high for drinks, food looked like your run of the mill chain stuff with inauthentic tie ins to british dishes and it was packed with people drinking the kool aid.

Surely there's something better than this in the area?

This has got to have the worse bartender in history!!  The wanna be blonde with the highlights was horrible.  I stood in the same spot at the bar all night and she would not even serve me...possibly jealous because I definitely had more attention on me.  Funny how when she found out the people around me were spending hundreds she was more than happy to serve then...asked what her name was and she snubbed me but clearly she heard me but didn't want me to talk to her manager and her sorry service...this is definitely not a place I would recommend if you want good service!!!

I've been coming here for years but after this past Saturday I finally decided to do a review.

This place usually has great live music on weekend. My old favorite local band (The Elroys) I suppose doesn't play here anymore as they weren't on the event calendar for all of May, however from the line-up I saw...it's still going to be a good month of live entertainment.

The food, considering it's a pub, is actually really good. The Salmon is delicious and my friends always get the Fish & Chips and Bangers & Mash. Everyone always enjoys their meals and has never been disappointed.

This particular location is a smoking location. Some of the Bakers St.'s are only smoking after 9pm in the whole restaurant...but this one always allows it. Frankly, I'm a fan of that...but I know many aren't. Additionally this location stopped serving pitchers of beer this past November (from what the waitress told us). Pints only.

I'm not a fan of the bathroom attendant that is there on weekend nights, the place isn't classy enough to have him in there and it makes it really awkward. The pool tables aren't taken care of and are too close to walls. So much so that you can't play pool as you normally would.

I had to endure sitting through a meal at the bar because I was with my boss.  Unfortunately, I am allergic to cigarette smoke and suffered a headache and cough from being exposed. After a week later, I can still smell smoke when I exhale.  Disgusting.  The food may have been okay--it was presented nicely.  However, I could not enjoy it because all I could smell was smoke!! I am used to Houston where smoking is not allowed.  Get with the times if you want to stay in business.

Nice try, Baker Street. Your HH prices are pretty good (but your Friday night prices suck), and the bands you hire aren't bad either. But for some reason, you have created a  cesspool of unpleasant experiences. Maybe it's not you, maybe it's your clientele.

They smoke here. You know, because you love chasing your tequila shots with emphysema. Why do you still allow this? The overwhelming community of reviewers here (and in galaxies beyond) have clearly pointed out that smoking in 2013 is out. OUT, I SAY!

They're pushy here. You know, because belligerent drinkers screaming for kamikazis make for the best of company when all we want is to catch up with friends over a pint. You are a pub, no?

They wear converse and get in. You know, because it's hip. But If my friend wears converse, he shall be shunned with the wrath of a thousand suns smooshed into the biceps of an overcompensating bouncer named Andy. Stop. Stoppp. STAHPPP Andy.

    Last of all...

They wear shades inside. You know, because it's always sunny in doucheville.

Yuck! Didn't realize that smoking hasn't been banned in Sugar Land.  Walked in the bar which reeked of cigarette smoke and walked immediately out.  These days with New York and California being so progressive as to second hand smoke, it was a shock to come here and realize that they haven't changed things.  Can't comment on service or beers as the ambiance made me just walk out.

Smokiest, loudest bar I have been to in thirty years.  My eyes were burning and we had to leave.

I'm sure this is a meat market as evidenced by the 20 something crowd, there was a band set up to play, my drink (diet mojito) was overly sweet and it is very dark in there. I wouldn't bring any children - EVER - or the elderly - EVER -  unless you really dislike them.

We didn't eat at BSP but I would never ever rely on eating here for a meal. Appetizers, maybe....but a meal, NEVER.

This is the blueprint:  LOUD music, crappy drinks, smokey atmosphere, which makes for a raucous establishment (let's all get really drunk and shout to be heard - later we can fall into the speakers).

I was NOT impressed and will not be back, not even to try the one on my side of town.

This is one bar you can't pay me to go to ever again. The crowd is nothing but dumb local Texans who have never seen the world and are probably still stuck in their high school days. I've been a few times while visiting friends in Sugar Land and didn't like it much but the last time I went was the final straw that deserved a negative Yelp review.

First, I wasn't let into the establishment in a timely fashion because they thought my ID was fake. I had to hang outside for over 10 minutes like a fool. I don't beg to get into bars. I don't even wait in lines. When I finally got in and ordered a beer, the manager kicked me out before I could take a sip because I looked underage. It's not my fault I have good genes and don't look beaten up by life. There was a whole ordeal outside and I finally got back into that smokey mess to be with friends with no apologies from the staff. But then the cover band started playing and they were God awful and so drunk that they even started taking cheap shots and insulting patrons from the mic including my friend. The bar manager just stood there laughing. Way to alienate your paying clientele. An older drunk woman even came up to me and proceeded to insult my clothing. I have no problem with dress code anywhere I go and I've been from LA to NY and everywhere in between.

This place might be in a more "upscale" part of the greater Houston area but it is still low class and ghetto at the end of the day. I'll pass.

Silly me I came here for the food instead of the drink.  That might sound like I didn't enjoy my visit but that wouldn't be true.  It just wasn't quite what I was expecting.

So my story starts one evening when I was getting off work, and thinking to myself, "I really really don't want to cook and don't want a sandwich or something frozen."  Since I was working at First Colony Mall at the time I decided to head over to Sugar Land town square and pick a place to have dinner.  I was strongly tempted by both the Italian restaurant, and the sea food place but ended up at Baker Street because I decided I wanted some good Sheppard's Pie (well Cottage Pie actually but this is the US not the UK).

The place was jammed since it was the weekend before Halloween and it took my quite awhile to find a spot, but I finally found one near the door at a small barrel table.  It wasn't the most comfortable place to sit but I can live with that especially since it put me in front of a flat screen that was updating all the college football scores.  For a place that doesn't have assigned seating and wait staff and was extremely crowded I was greeted and served pretty quickly.  It wasn't what I would call fast but it wasn't bad.  The place was not very smokey for a pub despite what others here have said.  In fact I was pleasantly surprised by that fact since I absolutely loath the smell of cigarette smoke.

My first disappointment came when I saw the beer menu.  How can a place that models itself as a British Pub have so few beer and ale selections, and how is it that so few of those choices came from the UK or Ireland???  And there was nothing all that exotic or esoteric available either.  Oh well, they had Newcastle Brown on tap, and at least it was a reasonable price, so I ordered a pint of that to go with my Sheppard's Pie and settled in to wait for my beer and food.  My beer came out a few minutes latter, and my food took rather longer to arrive but it did finally get there.

That was when my second disappointment arrived.  I remember thinking to myself, "Did they bring me the right order?"  This didn't look like any Sheppard's Pie I had ever seen.  To be completely honest, it looked more like Sheppard's Soup.  Being hungry however and knowing it would take a while for the waitress to come back by I tucked in as they say in the UK, and......my spirits rose slightly.  It might not look like Sheppard's Pie but it definitely tasted like it.  The mashed potatoes had a a good flavor despite their soupy nature and once I had dug past them to the meat sauce I was rewarded with excellent flavor with plenty of savory goodness.  It is possible that if my pie had not come out steaming hot that it might have had a better consistency, because it definitely thickened as it cooled on my plate.  I've had better Sheppard's Pie but this wasn't bad and the price was right too.

I eventually received my check, paid my bill and was on my way.  Would I go back to Baker Street?  Yes I suppose so if I wanted a reasonably priced drink with friends, but I believe if I wanted food I would try something else on the menu next time, perhaps something that is a little simpler for them to cook would be in order.

Typical bar food - typical bar drinks. Occasionally they will have some live music and it can be pretty fun. Don't go for the amazing service. Trivia night was filled with people using their iPhones to google the answers.

Sadly the bartender staff on the weeknight team is not the best. I like the atmosphere but waiting a prolonged amount of time ruins it.

    TIP: Use the cocktail waitresses.

Eh. Kind of 50/50 on Baker Street. Drinks aren't overpriced, but most of the time it's really crowded and hard to get a drink. Pool is usually taken, but sometimes you might get lucky. In all honestly, most of the bands that play at Baker Street are pretty terrible. The crowd is extremely diverse, sometimes to a confusing level. All in all, not terrible.

Typical bar with pool tables, Nickelback, and darts....nothing like mixing drinking with the throwing of sharp objects.....while you're trying to hide from (insert name of random creeper from highschool days) lurking at a table nearby.

Baker Street is one of the first bigger name bars (as far as I know) to open up in the SL area and for awhile was "the place" where everyone went to drink. It had a pretty good hold on the drinking market in Sugar Land for awhile until more bars (THANKFULLY) started to pop up in the area.

They have some alrightish menu items, but most are pretty over priced and taste as if they have been microwaved after sitting out on the counter for three days. An added deterent is that I end up seeing every single person from highschool whenever I stop in- so...who really needs a high school reuinion anymore?

Baker Street is a good back up if you don't know where else to go or are too lazy to think of somewhere else to go. Most people park in the nearby garages; front space parking is pretty hard to come by and is metered. Overall, my feeling about Baker Street is "ehhhhh I guess."

A group of friends and I went to play darts last Saturday. The dart/billiard area was fine.....except for the fact that it was like being in a chimney! Smoke eeeeeverywhere.

I love the Sugar Land area, but I wish they would ban smoking. Guess I'll stick to City Centre...

First word when stepping through the doors. Smoke. Didn't Houston ban indoor smoking? Oh, but we're in Sugar Land... I came back smelling like smoke and I can't believe that for 2 hours, I was breathing in second-hand smoke. I don't understand why owners would allow smoking indoors, especially since it makes everything in the restaurant smell. Even though there was an option to sit outdoors, it was cold, muggy, and rainy (typical Houston weather), so we opted to sit inside.

I had fish and chips. I've had much better. The portion was decent but a bit too small for $10.99 for two pieces of fish and fries. I've had much better for a lower price.

I was here on a Sunday night (all-day specials) and the drinks were decently priced.

Would I go back? No, mainly because of the smoke.

I used to come here often when I had friends in the area and I was somewhat close to it and still come on occasion to meet with someone I know, but even though Town Center is all dolled up, they have plenty of parking, and the service is good, the crowd seems a little on the homogenous side and the whole area has a Truman Show feel to it.

I shouldn't hold Baker Streets responsible for the entire Town Center because they are what they are, but it's hard not to notice ordinary and unoriginal the whole area is while you're sitting on the patio.   Sure, the block looks like a small city with beautiful cobble stone sidewalks, but there is no shaking the feeling that everything is standing on an island next to HWY 59/Hwy 6 and this pretty little city is just what some developers in a board room came up with rather than organically being grown like the Montrose area or Austin are.

It may be elitist (wait, I AM a Yelp Elite!) but you can't fake tradition and it takes time.

    Anyway, random goods:
The Fish and Chips are great.  Almost too good for bar food.  Also, they have a nice beer selection.

    The bad:
There is smoking allowed inside.  I guess having been in Houston where smoking is banned, I forgot how strong and pungent smoking is inside.  This is not in Houston obviously so who am I to tell them what to do, but that is a serious issue I consider when debating where to meet up with friends.

Also, when a band is playing inside, forget about talking.  It's too loud and don't expect anything more than cover bands butchering songs that you're already tired of hearing on the radio.

We really enjoyed the food - I had the grilled chicken, with garlic mash and vegetable medley.  It came with a thick garlic cream sauce (there was too much of it), but overall it was pretty good.

Hubby had fish and chips - fish was delicious, chips were french fries and were just ok.  Neither of us were offered a refill on our sodas and our waitress spent most of the time talking to another couple of waitresses at the bar.

However, my biggest complaint, and why I've not given this place a better rating is solely cause of the allowing of smoking inside.

    It is disgusting!!!!!

There isn't even a non smoking section, both the bar and the restaurant are open to smokers and it was a really disgusting meal to sit through - we couldn't get out of that place fast enough.

    We won't be back!

My family chose this place for lunch and I wasn't especially thrilled.  The food was a lot of standard bar food and for the theme, some of the dishes don't make much sense.  I can't imagine Sherlock Holmes eating fish tacos or buffalo wings.   I have to say, though, that the fish and chips were pretty tasty and the presentation was cute.  I like that they have a Scotch egg, Shepherd's Pie and Bangers n' Mash, too.

I also took issue with the smoke smell.  I don't know why they find it appropriate to have people smoking around people who are trying to eat.  I know it's also a bar at night, but that smell still sticks around when families are there during the day eating lunch.

I have been to a Baker St Pub at night in Austin and had a happier experience.  This place is more enjoyable at night when it's more socially acceptable to enjoy their drink selections than for lunch.

I'll keep this one short and sweet.  Once you've been to one Bakers Street, you've pretty much been to them all.  They are consistent if anything.  Our waitress Lauren was fun.  Brought the drinks quickly and was there if we needed anything.  It was nice to not have to hunt someone down if you wanted a beer.

The only thing that I thought could be better was if they had a tv on the patio.  On those cool breezy nights, it is always nice to sit out on the patio, enjoy a drink, and watch a playoff game rather than sitting inside a dark smoky bar.

Also watch yourself, we had some douche-ie-esc guys next to us at the pool table, and when they left, they stole my friends phone.  So if you see and hear a group of tool bags, I would put everything in your pockets......better yet, just go to another part of the bar.

Sorry, but I just can't stand going into any place that allows smoking after living in more progressive cities like DC, NY, and all of California.

I'm glad they still allow smoking since people hate the nanny state telling you what and what you cannot do, but sometimes bar owners don't have the guts to not allow smoking.   All it takes is 1 person to stink up the whole place.

All I have to do is vote with my feet by going elsewhere.

I went here the other night to relax and catch up with some family.  I wasn't aware until we walked in through the door that smoking was allowed, but we dealt.  It was their "BIG ASS BEER" night, and trivia happened as well.  Met a few people who seemed very business oriented.
We ordered calamari, and it was decent, not stellar.
Beer was great, and overall environment wasn't too bad.  The bartenders were timely.  But it seems as though the bar has become a regular for the pompous, which is the only serious downfall besides the indoor smoking for this particular non-smoker.

I've come to finally just deal with the fact that the bars in Sugar Land suck!! Bakers Street is just not that great of a bar but unfortunately it is one of the better bars in Sugar Land which is not saying a whole hell of a lot.

I've been living in Sugar Land for about 8 yrs and have frequented this bar on several occasions from the time it opened until now. There was a time when this bar was what it suppose to be, a neighborhood bar with not much of a dress code, good drink specials, and decent food. However over the past couple of years this place has become a mix of pretentiousness and trashy all at the same time. They have recently tried to become more classy by instilling a dress code, they food is over priced, and the worst part is that you can smoke inside of the bar which makes a bad experience even worse!! The bands often suck. I swear I can go on two totally different nights with two totally different bands and hear almost the exact same music set. The drinks are ok and happy hour is average at best.

It's really unfortunate that this place has to suck so much because it has a lot of potential to be a fun place to hang out. But because its Sugar Land and it has an image to uphold...this place is just another crappy bar in SL and that's too bad :(

Came here for a friend's birthday.  Yeah I do not like driving out this far for a bar, especially when I'm not drinking but the things you do for friends.  It is a pretty chilled place out in sugarland.

There is a phone booth outside just in case superman needs a change of clothing.

Inside they had a live band.  The only problem with being inside is smoking is allowed since it's sugarland so you end up smelling terrible.

I spent my time out on the patio.  They didn't have any heating lamps even though it was pretty chilly outside.

I have to give credit where credit is due.

I've been coming to Baker Street for years; it's like my default bar since it's so close to the house. There was never anything special about this spot, it's just like all the other Baker Streets. So why even bother with a review?

Well last night (Fat Tuesday) may have been the best experience I've ever had at any Baker Street. Nice sized crowd, cute waitresses, and overall just GREAT bar management.

Sanya (our waitress) was frickin AWESOME. I swear to baby jesus, this chick would have our shot/drinks back so quick my whole table was literally puzzled at first. We were all like "dang woman that was fast!" She's a big part of the reason I'm even writing this review. There was a point where (yes I was drunk; but not falling down drunk) I forgot what I'd ordered the previous round; and she instantly reminded me of my cocktail. I mean, that's service dude!  I like to have a big glass of water by my side while I drink liquor, and she kept that refilled too. Mind you, the place was far from being dead; she just hustled that well.

At one point, like 6 (cute) chicks came out yelling and wearing wings and angel looking outfits and started throwing Mardi Gras Beads and Nerds out to all of us! Heyyyyyyy!!

The other reason (besides Sanya) I'm writing this review is because of the bouncer. There was a drunk dude dancing around the bar, and basically acting like an ass while his buddies cheered him on. Well; he bumped (not a baby bump) my friend's chair in the midst of all his jackass-ness. And he didn't apologize. I stood up, not to confront him (yet) but to give fair warning to the bouncer. I don't like having to check people (especially when they're drunk trying to enjoy themselves) but disrespect is something I won't tolerate. I was basically gonna tell the bouncer "ok, he bumped my homegirl's chair pretty hard just now and didn't apologize. If he does it again then there's gonna be a problem."

But as luck would have it, none of that was necessary. Before I even started to walk over, the bouncer actually came over and told the idiot that if he didn't simmer down then he was getting booted out. I walked over to the bouncer later and shook his hand and thanked him for being so on point. He'd seen the whole thing, and even apologized to me again later on my way out! That really means a lot to me, because the situation could've have turned very bad; very quickly. But because this gentleman was doing his job I didn't even have to involve myself in that nonsense.

I'd been to Baker Street at least 100 times in my life, and last night seriously blew me away. Keep up the good work guys.

I moved to Richmond, Texas, when I was in 2nd grade, way back when the First Colony area in Sugar Land was a cluster of houses and a whole lot of grass.  I watched the area build up through high school, my frequent returns back while I was in college in Austin and now when I come home from San Francisco to visit my parents.  When Baker Street and the rest of Town Square opened I was as excited as everyone else for more options in the area.  It's now a favorite of my mother's and various friends, and I have to say that in my previous experiences I've enjoyed the time I've spent there.

That all changed last night, unfortunately.  A couple of friends and I were having dinner and drinks in the area and decided to end our night at Baker Street.  We walked in and presented our IDs, and the doorman said, "I can't let you in."

    Me: "Excuse me?"
Doorman: "If you were 26 or older I could let you in, but you're 25"
    Me: "I'm sorry, I don't understand"
Doorman: "We've had a lot of fake IDs come through lately, and they've all been California IDs"
Me: "Well I live in California now, and this is my real ID"
Doorman: "Do you have another ID, like a passport?"
    Me: ". . ."
My friends: "Kristofer, he's obviously just joking around with us, let's just go to the bar"
Doorman: "Seriously you all have to leave"
(Note: Both of my friends had valid Texas IDs, and yet now we all had to leave"

The situation progressed to various levels of incredulity from there, and ultimately the doorman offered to go get his manager.  When the manager arrived she explained, only slightly more eloquently than the doorman, about the problem they've been having with fake California IDs.

Me: "You've got to be f*cking kidding me"
Manager: "If you're going to curse our conversation is over now"
Me: "Ok, look, I have a debit card, 3 credit cards, a health insurance card, a car insurance card, and my business card in my wallet.  All of which have my name on them which matches what's on my license"
Manager: "Does any of it have your birthdate on it?"
    Me: ". . ."

I suppose I can be sympathetic that they've had a problem with fake IDs because that carries serious consequences for the employees and the restaurant, but I am confident that turning away legitimate paying customers out of some xenophobic ignorance of non-Texan forms of identification isn't the best policy. (Their response to my questions as to why the doorman isn't trained to spot fake IDs? "The only way we know for sure if they're real or fake is if the police come by and scan it" . . . Really?)

Suffice to say that the three of us there last night will never be going back to this Baker Street location, and I'm certainly going to tell everyone I know to pass on the place, too.

I stopped here Friday for a HH. Its a decent place for HH. Our waitress was very attentive, and express their HH special($2 pints, wells and wine) to us which lasted until 9p.m. This is hard to beat in the Houston area.

My hamburger was pretty tasty as far as pub standards are concerned, and at 6 to 7 bucks it was quite easy on my pockets.

The location is perfect. Its next to shopping, restaurants, and a few other bars if feel the need to bar hop. (I tend to do this a lot).

The only down side is this place reeks of smoke through and through. Come on Sugarland get with the program and ban ban ban. Like I want a mouth full of second hand smoke as I chomp into my burger. Other than this its A-OK in my book.

I seem to always have amnesia when it comes to this place.  As soon as I get out with friends who want a few drinks, we inevitably end up here if we're in Sugarland.  I follow with the nagging feeling that I'm never quite happy with this place, but I can never seem to remember my gripes until we walk in the door.  Then it ALLLLLLLLL comes flooding back.

    Points of contention:

    -- mediocre food
    -- pricey drinks
-- apathetic waitstaff (we were sitting outside and had to chase down a waitress every time we wanted service or more drinks)
    -- completely average people

    Points of delight:

-- I absolutely adore drinking outside on a good night.  I can be anywhere and this makes me happy.
-- It was easy enough to find a table.  (What can I say?  Sometimes I like things to be easy...)

Honestly, I only head here if the crowd I'm with wants to chill and we're in the area.  Not my favorite.  I don't even go often enough to remember that it's not a favorite.  Maybe after writing this review, I'll finally kick the amnesia.

This is only about the food and not about the bar scene.

This place is awful.  My husband is from England and we were excited about going to an English pub. You'd hope that an 'English pub' would have decent fish and chips.  It is honestly the worst Fish and chips in town.  The batter is so nasty and thick - not edible. Another person in our party had a pasta dish and was disappointed.  Also, they don't serve coke, they only serve Pepsi! Yuck! No one in the group liked their food.  We won't be back.

In addition, because this is considered a bar, people can smoke all they want INSIDE. YUCK!

Our office orders from here a lot for lunch - probably once every week or once every two weeks. Fish and chips are yummy! But if I'm looking for something that won't make me feel miserable after..I usually get the Grilled Salmon Filet for lunch! Which is weird bc that's not normal pub food.. but it's good. I love the way they season their green beans..and I also like their red potatoes.

My coworkers really like their baja tacos - chicken (but I think it's a too dry, but definitely good with the salsa), fish, and shrimp are what they usually get. The warm bacon spinach salad always smells really good as well, will get that one day.

Would not eat inside - truly hate the smell of smoke - unless I had to!

I hate Baker Street for all the reasons people have listed before. However, they have my favorite simple lunch entree: grilled chicken breast with mashed potatoes and green beans, and that's why it gets three stars instead of one or two.

Chicken breast will never be mistaken with foie gras but it is so damn good here. Unlike a lot of really dry chicken breasts, it is still pretty moist here, flavorful, and overall very good. The sides are the real winners: the green beans have Old Bay seasoning on it and the mashed potatoes are whipped up nicely and a little buttery. Sometimes I go for the red potatoes over the mashed potatoes-- they are also seasoned with Old Bay.

I love this entree (for take out) because it is healthy, good, and cheap at $6.99. Unfortunately a lot of other lunch specials here suck: the bangers and mash are awful; the chicken tacos are brutally dry; the shrimp tacos are pretty average.

Due to the vastly limited selection that is "downtown" Sugar Land, we always seem to end up at Baker Street. As an update, I'm revising my review, since I think it's overtaken Kona on my pecking order.

If you're coming here, I heartily suggest the outdoor seating. It's outside in better weather, much quieter, and you won't reek of smoke when you finally make it home. 4 stars for outdoors, 2 for indoors. The bands are sometimes good (I'm partial to the 80's cover bands myself), but if you sit anywhere near them, Baker Street cranks the speakers to ridiculously high decibels. The drinks are regularly priced; I find that pitchers are the way to go here.

Also, a word of warning. We were leaving here on a Wednesday night, and two cops were waiting outside Baker Street. They dispersed as we left, so we thought nothing of it, but our car, after pulling out of Town Square, was pulled over for rolling the stop sign onto highway 6. Apparently, the cop had been stalking us. Luckily, our driver was the DD, so the cop just gave us a warning and let us on our merry way. So if you're driving out of there and see some fine men in blue, be extra careful on the ride home. That should go without saying.

Overpriced drinks and food, $10 for Domestic pitchers, $14+ for import.. horrible server who seemed to really hate her job. Yeah, I don't know about that.

When we came into town to visit, our friends took us here for some drinks and good times. My Houston friends frequent this pub because it's close to their homes, but the majority of the time there was spent with the group complaining about how we got stuck with the rude server who's been working there for quite a while.

I hope we don't come back.

After I'd only had about half of my drink, I stepped outside to use the phone.  The staff prevented me from re-entering, informing me that I would need to wait in line behind twenty other people despite the fact that my friends were already sitting down inside.  Suffice to say, I will not be returning.
That being said, the food and music are ok.  The bands tend to play covers, which is fine by me since I don't care for their original music.  Parking is relatively easy to find.  The pool tables are in decent condition, but more often I've played darts here.

It's all about the cover bands.  Sugar Land does not provide many choices for some one to hang out, but Baker's St. fills the need without having to drive very far.  The drinks are reasonable but no great deals will be found here.  There are two pool tables and some dart boards... but they are generally in use.  From about 5-8pm you can find some of the older after work crowd (30s - 50s) but by 10pm it's full of 21-30 year olds.  It's a little preppy and stuck up like most of Sugar Land, and not the best place for singles to pick up anyone.  Might take you a little while to get a drink if you don't get a waitress, and smoking is still legal in the bar.  But again... it's all about the cover bands, which are a little loud, and the fact that they never charge a cover.

For you 18-20 year olds, if you get there before 9pm they are not usually carding.  But they will kick you out IF they catch you later.
