Thank God for the new management and staff. Â The place took a nose dive sometime last year or longer but it has since improved drastically with out too much deviation from the menu except the quality of the food. Â A classic Happy Hour joint for locals enroute home or whatever the next spot is for them.
The two items I rave about constantly are the Thai-Chili wings spun with Hot sauce (extra wet) which I swear does not need ranch and of course their pizza's. Â It's not the best NY style pizza out there but man when you have it fresh and piping hot the ratio of sauce, cheese, and crust just oozes perfection. Â The prices are still a few cents cheaper than other places in the area for your beers and drinks. Â The patio is awesome with the view of Oyster Creek. Â The music is personally picked by the patrons via TouchTunes. Â
The bartenders are awesome, friendly, and nice. Â At times they do get packed and service can be slow but they do their best to make up for it. Â The crowd is very eclectic and international with the young and the old, the executive and the college kid, the single or couple on a date, Â the retired and inspired, Â the foodie or the boozer, the people watcher or intent conversationalist. Â There are plenty of screens, seating, and choices on the menu. Â The bathrooms are a bit dirty (guys) but I expect that of any bar I guess. Â The owner does go out of his way to meet and greet the locals and regulars and always right any wrong that occurs to his patrons. Â The people working in the kitchen have varied along the way but lately they have been spot on with the food. Â Again, I can only vouch for the pizza and the wings but others say items like the sampler were decent if you consider frying to be an art :) Â
I recommend this place hands down and while some nights are slow and others are busy (especially during any sports season) you'll be guaranteed to have a great time with just the bartenders and their funny gimmicks. Â Â I will warn you it can get loud at times and don't be surprised if one moment you're listening to Country/Pop and then the music changes to Indie Alternative and then to Hip-hop and then all over again. Â Since patrons control the jukebox you get a taste of all different type of flavors so I will say it is great for those who enjoy music.
Remember to always ask what the daily specials are.... for me Tuesday wings and 1/2 off Pizza Wed's always keep me coming back. Â All in all a great place for Happy Hour after work.
