This can be a very fun experience for children or those whom have never been, because of the active engagement with the chef. The food itself is mediocre. The miso soup is flavorless, and needs additional flavor and salt; it tastes as if the flavor was diluted with water. The salad is good because of the salad dressing. The main entrees need major work. The meats are flavorless and all they add to it is salt and pepper; it needs marinating or some other treatment. The chef sometimes also leaves the items on the grill too long and the meat overcooks, which can cause the meat to be very dry. The sauces they give can help with the dryness, but only from the exterior part of the meat, the inside is still very dry. The customer service is very good.
Review Source:This is often a favorite among the birthday crowd. They send out a high value coupon for your birthday if you sign up for their email list so make sure to sign up. The food itself can be expensive, but they usually have specials. However, bday gift coupons can't be used for them. My beau and I got the garden veggie and spicy grilled tofu. The first is completely veggie friendly, and if full of steamed and grilled veggies. Very healthy option. The spicy tofu comes with the shrimp appetizer, but I'm sure you could order it with the tofu appetizer of the former. Â Also ordering veggie, or splitting a meat entree and just getting an extra soup and salad is a way to get out of their much cheaper. Also if you want the hot tea that comes with most meal offerings you have to ask for it or they'll assume you don't want it. Overall, a fun experience for those that especially haven't been before.
