Meh. The outside of this new restaurant/bar is inviting. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. We decided to try the food on a Friday night and we were disappointed. We arrived, quickly seated, and the waitstaff were attentive. My husband is English, so we spent some time looking at the decor which was cool.
The menu is VERY limited. If you want something other than red meat, then you are very limited. I ordered the beer battered lobster on a stick. It comes with 2 with a drizzle of chipotle mayo. They were good, but for $10, it seemed over priced. My husband got the fish and chips. Â It came with one smallish piece of fish and some soggy 'chips'. We also ordered the pomme frites (garlic butter french fries) which were pretty good. They come with a homemade ketchup which was a sad salsa like mush. I was glad they had the regular ketchup
Also, we didn't love the live music. The ceiling is metal and everything just reverberates, so it was all too loud.
I'm glad to see new places in Sugar Land that are different, but I don't see us going back here. It will appeal to others so 3 stars. Â Nice friendly waitstaff was a plus.
Decided to check this place out after a dinner next door at Fadi's. Looks like they have some daily specials to go along with their good sized beer list. The food options also look tasty so if I'm in the area again I'd give that a shot. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the beer selections and helped make some decisions for us. We also had some "Thunder down under" shots (something green and red and sweet) which were on the daily board. Patio layout is good and the weather cooperated. The music selection was kind of all over the place, but at least it wasn't too loud to keep us from hearing each other.
