Freshly made sushi in mall food court. Albeit a stylistic, contemporary, spotless and airy mall food court. Much cleaner than the College Ave parent. Quality at the outpost (as well as the parent) not quite on par with heavy hitters like H2O and Tegry but good enough when your waist deep in shopping bags and the yen hits. Sushi prepared lickety split but heavy on gut filling rice ala Ocean World.
The hot bar looks pathetic. Granted all four visits have been mid afternoon after the lunch crowd so replenishment apparently not a top priority. Boost to 3 stars because they're a healthy option at Keystone at the Crossing...and I shop.
The food here is fine, but not anything spectacular.
I like the fact that there are options for vegetarians--spicy tofu, steamed vegetables, vegetable egg rolls, salads and soups.
The service is similar to what you find at food courts in malls, despite the fact that it's in the Fashion Mall.
If you partake in the buffet-style take away--be prepared to pay $9.99/pound and to pay for the weight of the take away box too. When asked about this, the manager curtly said that it wouldn't be changing, and that the owners say there are many other options in the mall for people who don't want to be charged for the box. The response threw me off a bit, as it was quite defensive.
I definitely don't think anything here is worth $9.99/lb and I will not be returning.
