The food gets 5 stars. Â I cannot believe that it is 475 calories or less for each dish because the food doesn't taste low calorie at all.
However my fellow patrons appeared to fall exclusively under the category of "dieting single women from the 'burbs looking to mingle over their sugar free cocktails or Chardonnay." Â Needless to say the restaurant reeked of desperation that even my fantastic meal and (master somollelier selected) Malbec couldn't mask.
Service is great - especially management. Â They were definitely making sure I was having a pleasant experience. Â
My favorite item was the Spicy Chipotle Shrimp Flatbread - except I requested parmesan instead of feta cheese. Â We also had the scallops and filet mignon, both were excellent as well. Â Additionally, we had a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc and the Chocolate Peanut Butter Mousse as for a dessert indulgence. Â
Nice atmosphere. Â I look forward to going back.
I liked the fresh ingredients and the calorie conscious menu. We both had the arugula salad and it was extra yummy. A crab spring roll app was shared, and it too was wonderful.
One of us had the grilled scallops, and the other cedar-planked salmon. Our server was startled when I asked him if the scallops were wet or dry. He initially said wet because they seemed moist in the kitchen. After I explained the difference, he went back to ask the chef and came back with the right answer.
The salmon was wild Atlantic, and it could have used a little more seasoning and smoke, but for the Midwest, very good in this Alaskan's opinion.
I really liked the individual desert offerings which were just right!
