Outrageous chicken wings. They don't deep fry them but rather dry rub and then grilled to perfection. This means succulent but not soggy with sauce. They remind me of what I used to get at home when my dad made chicken on the charcoal grill 8-/.
The bar is two sided - both sides have many flat screens. The whole place is dark and woody and has the grill-pub-sports bar feel through and through. I'll report back when I try the deep dish pizza - supposed to be incredible as well.
I used to hate stepping foot in the Ale Emporium because of the cigarette smoke. Its now gone from here. I imagine some day people will tell their grandchildren, "Yup, I remember when they actually had smoking in public places and rotary dial phones." Thanks Ale Emporium for the change. Count me as a new regular customer.
Got a 14" deep dish pizza to go.
This is not a pizza. It's a planet!!
No kidding... this ginormous pie is loaded with cheese and toppings. I liked that it wasn't Chicago-style with the heartburn/acid reflux inducing tomato layer on top.
It took the hubby and I 4 meals to finish this monster and we aren't the type that nibble on food. You definitely get your money's worth! Perhaps a smaller size next time. Or I might have to Google "what to do with leftover pizza" again.
